I should not have proceeded when they made it nearly impossible to make an appointment to test drive a car on the lot. Regretfully, I leased the car which while used, has barely 20km on it but feels like a clunky old car. They don't care. Counting the days until I can go elsewhere for a trade-in.
Do NOT buy from Alan Day Volkswagen New Southgate! While the VW website states 2 years of roadside assistance, they only offer 1 year. The warranty team is always trying to make money instead of getting you back on the road. They even charge for courtesy cars when your car is in the garage. They never have time for customers unless you're a new sale. I will be returning my car and purchasing from a different VW dealer. Check other reviews, and you'll see the same bad experiences. Avoid them!
I recently bought a car from a VW dealership and it had a fault I needed checking quite urgently. I was told my warranty covered all dealerships and called Alan Day for help. I called on 26th September and was told the first appointment to look at the car would be 9th January 2025.

So pleased with the whole experience of buying my car at Alan Day New Southgate. From the first viewing to collecting it today, August 3rd, the whole process was made pleasant by the sales associate, Mohamed B. His knowledge and professionalism put us totally at ease, he was very helpful and dealt with us in a way that nothing was too much trouble. I had a car service appointment scheduled for Saturday morning at 10 am on March 9th, and after waiting over a month for an available booking, I arrived on time only to be told they couldn't service my car that day. It's incredibly unprofessional and disappointing that they didn't apologize or even acknowledge the inconvenience. I had to leave my family on my day off, driving two hours round trip from Harlow for nothing. With a newborn at home, working hard and exhausted, this lack of respect for my time is unacceptable. It's clear they don't prioritize customer service, and it's frustrating that they seemed to blame me for their mistake. It would have been better if they had informed me beforehand so I didn't waste my time and energy. Alan Day, you've lost a customer.
