I purchased shared hosting from AlexHost as a first-time customer. The website installs correctly, but the IP address is not accessible from India on multiple ISPs (mobile data and broadband). The site only works when using a VPN.Since my target audience is in India, this makes the service completely unusable for me.When I contacted support, they said they are not responsible if the IP is blocked regionally and also refused a refund because I used a promotional code. However, their website advertises a 30-day money-back guarantee for shared hosting.I did not upload any content and did not violate any policies. The issue is purely related to network routing or IP reputation.I recommend future buyers check accessibility in their country before purchasing.
I don't recommend this service; it's extremely unreliable. Today, they left me without a server and didn't even give me access to download my accumulated data from four years of renting a server. They blocked me for spam, even though I explained to them that my program had been hacked and was probably sending spam. They didn't even let me see the logs. Anyone can get hacked, and you won't get your data back. By the way, with other services, when spam is sent, the provider simply blocks ports, allowing you to log into the server and fix the hack. Tech support only has one excuse: "You broke the rules." And the fact that I paid for the server for four years and never broke the rules doesn't matter to anyone. P.S. A representative left a message below. I sent him the details, after which they completely removed the server from the list in my personal account. They pretended to care about the customer, but in reality, it was just a show, a deceitful, disgusting service!
Since end of 2023 Im a customer at AlexHost. All processes are done very fast and the support is great! I get answers 24/7 and "deeper" problems are usually solved at the morning of the next business day. The only thing, what AlexHost can do better: I would like to get a notification, when my servers crashed or not reachable - no matter, if its a problem, what caused by server or by AlexHost-infrastructure. I understand than sometimes problems can happen, but I want to be informed and not find this out by myself after some days.
