I paid for a 1-year server with AlexHost and my service was suspended without any prior warning. When I contacted support, they explicitly said their system does not notify customers about service suspensions. That alone is a major red flag for any hosting provider. The suspension was based on a Netcraft incident. I followed their instructions and worked through the Netcraft process. Netcraft now shows the status “Incident Resolved” for the incident, confirming that the reported issue is no longer active. However, AlexHost still refuses to reactivate my service. They claim that “Incident Resolved” is not sufficient and they want Netcraft to completely remove the report / mark it as a false-positive in a specific way. In practice, this creates an impossible situation: Netcraft may not respond quickly (or at all) and does not always delete incident entries even after resolution. AlexHost knows this, yet they use it as a reason to keep a prepaid annual server offline indefinitely. This policy effectively allows AlexHost to keep a customer’s paid service suspended with no warning, no reasonable remediation window, and no clear path to restoration—even after the incident is officially resolved. Since they also do not offer a refund, the customer is left paying for downtime.Based on this experience, I cannot recommend AlexHost due to the lack of notification, lack of transparency, and unrealistic “third-party removal” requirement even after Netcraft confirms resolution.
They blocked my domain name overnight without any prior notification. I’m convinced that competitors abused the DMCA system, but AlexHost didn’t even bother to verify anything or communicate with us. Zero communication, zero support, zero transparency. The result: an unusable service and a huge waste of time for our team.Honestly, I strongly advise against using AlexHost. Their management and support are simply terrible.
I paid 568 EUR for this service and used it without any issues for the first month. However, just one hour after renewing the service, it was suspended without any valid reason.Although the company claims to provide a “NO DMCA” guarantee, they clearly do not stand behind this promise. My service was instantly suspended due to a website that does not exist on my server, and I was not given even the slightest amount of time to check or verify the issue. What’s even more concerning is that, after reviewing the abuse reports, it appears the company is using IP addresses and servers that do not belong to them, attempting to shift responsibility onto the customer with incorrect and misleading reports. I strongly advise against purchasing any service from this provider.I would like to state this one last time, clearly and directly; please read carefully. We do not engage in phishing, nor do we allow phishing in any part of our systems. Our platform simply provides a free reverse proxy / CDN service where users can add their own websites. Whenever we receive a complaint, we immediately remove the reported site. However, without requesting any information from us and without issuing any warning, you suspended our service outright. The server in question was hosting thousands of customers, and your decision caused all of them to be affected and left without service. The two different IP addresses shown in the Netcraft abuse reports are very easy to explain: We removed the reported site, and the customer redirected their domain to another server. Since Netcraft updates DNS records late, the old IP — the Alexhost IP — continued to appear. How can this possibly be considered our responsibility?Let me repeat: We do not allow phishing. Period. Also, the reported website is not phishing at all — it is a simple betting site. The claim that it “steals card information” is completely baseless. Did you actually visit the site yourself? How can a plain HTML page steal card data? There is not a single screenshot in the abuse reports showing any card-stealing activity: i[.]imgr[.]tr/umflib5oas.pngSo where is the proof? If you look at the reviews on Trustpilot, everyone complains about the same thing:You take the automatic renewal payment after one month and then suspend the service with no valid reason, keeping the customer’s money. At first, I did not want to believe this, but my experience has completely confirmed it.This entire process is unprofessional and shows that you are a company causing serious customer dissatisfaction.
This company knowingly allows customers to host websites containing pirated and copyrighted software products and refuses to get them taken down.Update: This IS a genuine review, evidence of a site they host which has pirated and copyrighted software on it has been reported to them many times, but they refuse to do anything about it so clearly condone piracy and theft
Alex Host is the #1 worst service to ever exist. You will lose your money if something happens to your account. #1 They are not a DMCA-ignored service, and you will get banned if you host copyrighted content or embed copyrighted content from the Internet. #2 They always make super lame excuses every time a customer complains or criticizes their service or if their account gets banned or anything else. #3 They do not offer refunds at all. #4 Customer support is the worst, and sometimes they have bots replying to your messages, and sometimes the real people that talk to you are super rude. #5 Servers are awful and very unstable. Overall a very untrustworthy service. I guarantee you will lose your money if you pay these guys. Believe me. because I've been a customer before. All the bad reviews about AlexHost are 100% real. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE BECAUSE YOU WILL LOSE YOUR MONEY 100%.
We have AUTOMATIC payments. The payment was sent automatically. Then Alexhost suspended our server for "unpaid invoice". It was unsuspended later in the day, causing many hours of downtime. We reported the issue to tech support, who refused to acknowledge any problem. They blamed us and suggested we "pay the invoice in the same day it is generated". Is this a joke? We have AUTOMATIC payments, which guarantees the invoice is *automatically* paid in the same day it is generated. We sent screenshots to prove it.Terrible support, we are forced to move to another host because automatic payments are not working and our server will get suspended every single month because Alexhost can't figure our how to make automatic payments work correctly. This is unserious, unprofessional, and unreliable. The next month, THE SAME PROBLEM HAPPENED AGAIN! We're done.Edit: contrary to what the company said, THE ISSUE IS STILL NOT FIXED! We got suspended again in November even though automatic payment went through. AlexHost asked us to remove this review but they didn't even fix the issue. We have been running servers for over 20 years, tried tons of webhosts, NEVER had this problem. Get your things together!
The payment system is not working properly. Please do not use anything other than PayPal for payments.I made a payment using crypto, and the money did not go through correctly. The system asked for $16.03, which I paid, but then it showed that $1 was still missing and requested an additional payment. To fix this, they tell you to contact the crypto wallet company, but when you reach out, the wallet company directs you back to AlexHost. Then AlexHost claims it’s not in their control."This is a rule of the Cryptomus module, and unfortunately, we cannot change or override this limit."This back-and-forth makes it very frustrating and unreliable, so PayPal is the only safe option at the moment.
