I have never had such a horrible experience with a delivery/logistics company, and it is all due to the agency that GLS works with to do the deliveries. I still haven’t received my parcel and delivery has already been “attempted” 3 times. The first two times they cancelled delivery around 5/6pm both times because allegedly there was a problem with the address. I wonder if it’s a coincidence that at the end of the work day the driver decided not to deliver my parcel. Even though they should have my phone number, they didn’t even try to call me or attempt to deliver so that I could go downstairs to get the parcel, as I do with every other courier service. After these two failed deliveries I called GLS customer service and they added additional details to the address. I thought now finally the driver will be able to deliver it. But no. They had my door code, my interphone details, the floor of the apartment and my phone number, but still they could not deliver. Even though I was home all day long with my phone sound on, they didn’t even try to deliver. The interphone, which is very very loud, didn’t ring. No one called my phone. They claimed that I wasn’t home so the delivery failed, but I honestly don’t think the driver even drove past my building or attempted the delivery. GLS works with a different agency who does the deliveries so they cannot help me directly because they have no information on the drivers or their schedules, whether they’re actually delivering the parcels they’re meant to be delivering. I get no information on what time the parcel is meant to go so I sit home all day long to wait, and each day I am disappointed and angry when it doesn’t come.I called GLS customer service again and there was nothing they could do to help. They said it was not possible for the parcel to be delivered to a point relais parcel shop so now I will be waiting for the fourth day for my parcel to be delivered to my house. I hope it will come because it contains very important personal items from my family. I am very disappointed, sad and angry at how difficult it has been to try to receive my parcel.
I was forced to chose DHL by EBay’s (not) ‘simple delivery’ system. The postage cost was approximately £11.00. The label was printed and collection booked for 1/12/25. I received an email on the day stating collection would be between 16.44 and 18.44. DHL never came and despite calling them three times the parcel was still not picked up by 6/12/25. At this point I had to pay for an Evri label in order to get the package on the way. DHL are simply not up to the job of fulfilling EBay deliveries. I thought the company was professional but now realise they are no better than anyone else, and I will never book them again.
