Ordered flowers for Valentine’s Day, and they were never delivered. Yodel claimed they were left in a “safe place,” which is simply not true, nothing was received.
I had to get a replacement from another florist. Customer service later emailed asking whether I wanted a store credit or a refund. I clearly requested a refund and then heard nothing back.
At this point, I’ve had to start a claim with my bank. This level of service is completely unacceptable.
Plenty of better florists out there. I will never use Appleyard Flowers again. Be warned.
I’d like to leave a really positive review for both Louise and Enya for their excellent customer service. Louise was incredibly professional, understanding, and efficient in resolving my issue. She handled everything promptly and made sure a replacement was arranged without any hassle. Her communication was clear and reassuring, which made the whole experience much easier and stress free. Enya was also extremely helpful and supportive throughout the process. She was polite, attentive, and genuinely cared about ensuring everything was sorted properly. It’s clear she takes pride in delivering great service. Both Louise and Enya went above and beyond to make things right, and I truly appreciate their help. Thank you both for turning the situation around so positively — it really made a difference.
I ordered the Simply Pink Rose & Lily bouquet for my partner for Valentine’s Day and I honestly couldn’t have chosen better. The flowers arrived beautifully presented and incredibly fresh. The pink roses were soft and elegant, and the lilies were just starting to bloom, which meant they opened up perfectly over the next few days.
She absolutely loved them — they looked stunning in a vase and filled the room with a lovely, subtle scent. You can really see the quality in both the flowers and the arrangement. It made Valentine’s Day extra special and definitely earned me some brownie points!
Would highly recommend and will 100% be ordering again. 💐
Ordered a velvet bouquet for my wife on valentines day, the picture looked great so i placed the order. What came was nothing like what was received, it looks like i bought a £2 bunch from a garage on a Sunday, infact they would be better. They are half dead and not the red velvet flowers as shown it is basically fraud.
I contacted customer complaints and they stated "Having reviewed them, the flowers appear to be in acceptable condition, though they do look slightly thirsty" so they do nothing, and continue to tell me how to cut the stems down which i already had done.

Absolutely heartbroken and disappointed. This was meant to be a Valentine’s Day gift, and it arrived in a not so perfect condition — One rose head was completely broken off, and the leaves were brown, damaged, and clearly not fresh. To make matters worse, the delivery driver left it downstairs on the floor, as if it were just a parcel, not a gift meant to express love.
I’ve tried contacting Appleyard Flowers via live chat and have had no response for over three hours. This completely ruined what was supposed to be a special moment. Very poor quality, delivery, and customer service.
Update - still no response over 18 hours later, I have to do all the chasing myself, they sent a generic email but not even responding. Valentines Day absolutely ruined. Will never use them, will never recommend them. DO NOT.

The flowers came in a lovely box, neatly wrapped in tissue paper, and were exceptionally fresh and of excellent quality. My elderly mother was delighted and remarked on their beauty. The delivery tracking was also impressive, arriving as scheduled.

There's no clear path for escalation, no visible contact information, and no accountability. The chatbot is only available on specific pages and disappears when needed. Even when located, it proves unhelpful. The ordering interface feels outdated and cumbersome, complicating straightforward tasks unnecessarily. For a service centered around timely delivery and significant moments, this level of service is unacceptable. When issues arise, there’s no simple way to connect with a person or receive clear guidance. UPDATE 17/12/2025: The company did respond promptly the day after the review was posted. A senior member of the team addressed the issue, recognized the shortcomings, and proposed a solution, which has been accepted. This does not alter the fact that the initial experience was lacking, especially regarding proactive communication and the frustrating support process when issues occurred. However, once escalated, the response and accountability were appropriate.
