On the whole, I have enjoyed my course. However, the inconsistency in marking assignments has been very frustrating. When I tried to raise concerns, I was Tod you can only appeal if you fail - not if you passed but felt your essay deserved a better grade. Frequently, I read the feedback and it is clear that the developmental points aren't referring to my assignment, but are copied and pasted from someone else's. For example, stating that I could have discussed the mandatory nature of Early conciliation, when the first sentence of the paragraph states just that, in those words! It just feels like a bit of a slap in the face after all your hard work to be under marked and not be able to appeal it? I will be looking for another provider for my Level 7 as I don't have confidence in the markers and feel their policies in relation to marking are unfair.
Britt Webster was an amazing tutor and I felt really supported by her. It was nice to have live sessions because you get real-time support. I really valued this because you don't feel alone in the studying. Thank you Avado and thank you Britt :)
Honestly, the Avado platform is fantastic, full of support! everything you learn on the course is so so helpful and really helps you understand the meaning of HR. Britt Webster was my tutor and i cant thank her enough for the hard work she puts in to support us all, she is the best!!
If you are thinking of enrolling on a online course in HR, this one is for you. It's easy accessible, offering plenty of online tutor sessions and cohort cafes providing great engagement, interaction and flexibility.I was very fortunate to have Mark Beacham as my tutor, he is very knowledgeable, approachable, always responding to my emails promptly. I couldn't have completed my CIPD Associate Diploma in People Management without his full support during a difficult period.
Level 5 It's not the first time I've taken an online HR course, but I've been unpleasantly surprised by my experience so far. I chose to pay for a service that I am not at all satisfied with as a customer. It seems that customers are no longer a priority. All my attempts to communicate with someone have failed. No one answers the phone or emails, practically you have no one to communicate with and ask for help when you need it. The information provided at the two online sessions is very vague and there is no other form of guidance or practice. I am not satisfied with the support offered by the course, the tutor, and the customer support. I do not recommend this course with Avado and I can empathize with all those who had the same experience.
Great course, with a fantastic tutor. However, since completing the course in May 2023, the communication has been appalling.It’s now December, I am still without my certificate due to an error which Avado blame on CIPD. Regardless of who the fault lies with, I received no update from Avado between May and October. Everyone else in my cohort received their certification and Avado didn’t at any point find this alarming and think to contact me regarding this.Very disappointed after the price you pay for the course itself (which is completely worth it) but the customer service is shocking. If you’ve previously enrolled onto a CIPD course elsewhere (and completely closed this down) and have been lead to believe you’ve taken the correct steps to be able to move forward with a new one - Do not be fooled! Multiple people will lie to you and clearly Avado will do anything just to take your money and get you enrolled into a course. I had multiple conversations prior to starting with Avado regarding my previous course and took the necessary steps with CIPD. Look how that turned out! Avado haven’t been helpful in resolving this issue other than explaining they can’t do anything about CIPD moderation windows - Thanks for this, I’m very much aware of when the windows occur due to the sheer delay this has caused. You have closed my case, leaving a very bitter taste in my mouth and no resolution.
