Signed up for HR Level 5 course and received a job offer a few days later who said they would pay for it but I need to use their provider. Emailed to cancel on the 23rd and I am still awaiting a response. You call up and someone transfers you to a department that is always closed! How are they allowed to get away with this?
At first I was really suspicious about this company. My friend told me about their Fast Futures course and I applied thinking what have I got to lose. If you want a corporate job, I really recommend doing this. They cover 6 areas, providing an invaluable foundation in all of them. To have the opportunity to have the reality of the worlds of each of these fields before I'm having to apply for full time work is incredible, and now I know what I want and don't want in a career, and can spend my time focusing towards what I do want. It's saved possible years of moving around jobs and hating them, so thank you.
Mixed feelings about the course. I completed the hr practise level 3 in 2020 and gained CIPD Assoc status. I now work in HR as a Business Partner but overall, I think there are better providers out there than Avado.1. I never actually received a certificate confirming I passed the course, despite chasing a few times after completion.2. The course is pure theory so its only really suitable for those working in HR already. This does not prepare you well for the world of HR if you’re a new entrant.3. Lack of networking and collaboration. Posting was encouraged on the forums but it felt more like a tick box for the course rather than proper interaction. I didn’t manage to network or make contacts from this course and that’s essential for people in HR.4. No access to the portal or any materials once the course is finished. 5. I’m applying for other degrees now and Avado is not recognised as an Educational Institution. My advice would be to do this through a local college and not Avado.
During Covid19 I've decided to go back to school for a CIPD Diploma but I was totally unsure if I can learn in an exclusively online environment. Avado's platform made things easy and accessible and Abbie's support, my tutor, enabled me to achieve my potential. It was a great learning journey that already supported my career progression.
I’m two months in to my CIPD level 3 qualification and I’m loving it. My tutor Abbie Kirkham has been amazing and I honestly don’t think I would have got through this period without her. She is so supportive and helped me with all my questions (even the silly ones). Highly recommend Abbie and for anyone considering doing their CIPD level 3 just do it! 😊
I started my CIPD course in October 2020 which I enjoyed. I asked for an extension on the course as I had heavy work commitments and wanted to ensure I could handle work commitment and the course assignments successfully. This request was denied. I uploaded my assignments and since then I have had no contact with Avado or my tutor and have not received information on my certificate. I have tried to contact via phone and have been unsuccessful. I am awaiting an email response as my course profile is now unavailable. I have no idea what has happened.
