Stuff doesn't last long

I've just bought my 3rd expensive item from BackMarket, just as my previous two BackMarket purchases were affected by technical faults. A Mac whose logic board failed (in a way that meant it wasn't cost-effective to repair) after 3 years, and a Samsung phone that had a technical problem with the camera after 1 year. Not a great record - 2 for 2. For reference, a new Mac purchased in 2010 is still going strong. I've two 2nd hand Samsungs purchased from Amazon in 2016 and 2019 and both are still going strong. I won't be buying here again.
