I’m sharing this so other customers clearly understand how Baltic Børn’s returns and store credit actually work. Most unfriendly customer service as well. After returning dresses, I requested a refund back to my original form of payment. This was refused, and I was issued store credit instead. I then spent months trying to find something I would genuinely want to purchase. Eventually, I felt pressured to buy something simply to avoid losing the credit.I had $192.06 in store credit and placed an order that included pajamas and a ring. The ring was later canceled because it was out of stock and never shipped. However, my store credit had already been applied to the entire checkout total, including shipping, taxes, and additional fees. When the ring was refunded, only the base item price was returned to store credit. None of the shipping, taxes, or fees were refunded — even though I never received the item. After keeping an $84 pajama set, my remaining store credit was only $85.39.Customer service confirmed this was intentional and “policy,” but this was not clearly disclosed during checkout and materially reduced the value of my original refund. The process was opaque, inflexible, and dismissive once concerns were raised.I’ll use the remaining credit and will not purchase from Baltic Børn EVER AGAIN. I recommend other customers read the return and store credit fine print very carefully before ordering.
Initially, I needed to return a dress I ordered, but they only offered me the sales price. I had the dress for maybe 10 days at most. I made a mistake while filling out the return slip online and tried to obtain a return label, but I couldn't print it after completing the form. After submitting the form, I didn’t see a return label. I called the support team at least twice, and they promised to get back to me within 24 hours. I also emailed them asking for a return label, but received the same generic response three times. No one returned my call.
I had ordered a dress for a mother of the bride occasion, and it remains in my home, with no clear instructions on how to return it.
At this point, I’m questioning the reliability of this company.
I had a package lost and I messaged the company and they told me it is not their responsibility and that they will not refund the product and just give me 40% off to order the exact same dresses. I lost all respect when I spent well $100 on the two dresses.
I purchased a dress from Baltic Born well in advance for my best friend’s wedding. I had read and understood their return policy, so I knew this was a commitment purchase—but I felt confident spending the money because the dress initially fit perfectly and arrived looking beautiful.A week before the wedding, I followed the care instructions exactly: hand washed and air dried. When I went to put the dress on for final touches, the dress had shrunk, while the attached slip did not. The sleeves were noticeably shorter, and the fit was completely off. What had been a perfect dress was suddenly unwearable due to a clear quality issue.I immediately emailed and called, leaving multiple messages. I didn’t receive a response for three days—with the wedding rapidly approaching. To make matters worse, I am pregnant, so “just finding another dress” wasn’t a realistic option, especially after already spending money on this one. When I finally heard back, I was told there was nothing they could do, except offer 15% off my next purchase—which honestly felt insulting. That same discount is easily available on their website, and given the quality, cost, and customer service, I will never purchase from them again.I rarely write negative reviews, but this experience was incredibly disappointing. Between the low quality, lack of urgency, and poor customer support, I would strongly caution others before purchasing—especially for important events.Buyer beware.
I have placed a few orders from Baltic Born. Their clothes generally fit well and are accommodating of bodily changes like pregnancy. However, I recently placed an order to use a store credit from a previous return. The item was not as described, so I obviously didn’t want it. Baltic Born seemed helpful until they refused to issue a full refund. They are insisting they cannot refund the original shipping and that I owe them for the return shipping. They are deducting $19.50 plus not refunding rewards points to my rewards. I have never experienced this with other websites…typically companies are accountable for THEIR mistakes.
Would not order from Baltic Born again! Terrible return/exchange policy, inconsistent sizing, and poor customer service. Final sale marking is not obvious and doesn’t show up on sales receipts. Can’t exchange for different size. Returns aren’t allowed for final sale and only for store credit with regular purchases. They push you to sell unwanted items on Poshmark since you can’t return. Terrible experience!
Buyer beware-- return policy change? They will still take your money with no remorse. I bought 4 dresses in fall of '25. I planned to return what didn't work and paid extra for the "free return shipping," knowing I was going to keep one or two items but would return the rest. All dresses came wrinkled, all were ill fitting (the sizing chart is bs-- I sized up and they still fit weird), the "velvet" felt cheap, all were too long by about 4"-- none of them worked. So I went to return them and got burned by the policy that was in place at the time-- no refunds, only store credit. You'll see lots of people complain about that. I've been stuck with a store credit for months, I don't want to buy anything else from them, and the credit will expire after a year. Then I saw that they'd changed their return policy, likely from YEARS of people complaining about it. I thought I'd ask if I could please get a refund instead of the store credit, knowing they'd likely say no but I hoped they would do me a solid. They told me the "REAL" reason I couldn't have a refund was that some of the dresses were returned with dog hair on them. Y'all, I don't have a dog that sheds-- they showed me pictures of the dresses and the little notes they made on the receipt 1) I don't own a dog with fur like that and 2) They also mysteriously only found dog hair on the two most expensive items on my order, but still wouldn't give me a refund for any of the items. The company feels like a scam. Even with the new policy, y'all, read all the stipulations. They are going to take money to ship it back, take more money to restock it, and they are going to find any excuse to call the items "unsellable" so they don't have to refund you. Read the warnings!!! They literally said to me, "Our policies are an integral part of the online shopping experience at Baltic Born, and we strongly encourage our customers to review them carefully before making purchases." Basically admitting that they only way they make money is stealing it and that they warned you in advance, so if you still buy from them, it's on you. They sent me wrinkled dresses, they mail stuff out with missing belts and stains, so there is no "unsellable" in their world, but they will sure as $h!t call it unsellable if you're trying to return something for a refund. Save your money, don't buy from them, there are plenty of other places to buy cheap clothes (for actual cheap prices).
First off I had to return a dress I ordered. They were only going to give me the sales price. I hadn’t had the dress but maybe 10 days at most.I made an error when filling out the return slip online. I went back in to try and get a return label which I failed to print off after filling out the return form. I did not see a return label after I completed the form. I contacted by phoneBaltic Born least twice twice with the message that they would get back to me in 24 hours. I also emailed them requesting a return label. I did get a reply to my email three times with the same canned response. No one ever called me back.I had ordered a mother of the bride dress. The dress is still sitting in my house, not knowing where I need to return it. At this point, I’m wondering how reputable this company is.Leslee Weber
