The Hume band does not work. It is faulty. Contacted the support and they were very unhelpful. I want a refund. Have seen lots of reviews expressing similar concern. This is what I am doing. I really wish I could rate this lower and should have researched better before buying. Simply put, the device doesn’t function as advertised, and the marketing team should be embarrassed for misleading customers. They claim to offer more than just a health tracker, but that’s just nonsense. My existing device tracks my workouts, sleep, and other metrics much more effectively. Do yourself a favor and save your money; there are better options out there.
I can only express my frustration. Both the device and the accessory are unreliable, appearing to be poorly made. The marketing is impressive, with a polished website and attractive discounts, but the performance is subpar, as if still in development. One moment I get one reading, the next it's completely different. As I write this, it's 1 PM and there hasn't been any data recorded since 7 AM. I strongly advise against purchasing this.
I bought a fitness band and opted for the premium plan, paying $179.00 to access a complete metrics profile, which I will explain further. My band was only two months old but was providing inaccurate readings. After three weeks of back-and-forth with customer service to demonstrate that the data was incorrect compared to another device I own, I decided to use my old tracker. I submitted screenshots from multiple devices, which took another three weeks before they acknowledged that the device or its software was faulty. They sent me a replacement band, still unopened, as I lost interest in checking if the issues persisted. I had to do all the work to get a replacement, proving my case for two months, which should have been handled by their IT team. To make matters worse, they charged me another $179.00 through the app store for an additional 12-month subscription for the premium plan. I want to emphasize that I am no longer using the device and have not even opened the replacement band. When I requested the replacement under warranty, my premium plan still had 10 months left, and after receiving the replacement, it was down to 9 months. Yet, they billed me again for another plan on the replacement. I've disputed the charge with my bank, but they've informed me it may take up to 90 days to resolve. Honestly, I find this company to be a disappointment, with poor customer support.
I purchased the band during the holiday season, and it arrived two weeks later, broken and unable to charge or turn on. I reached out to customer support for a refund, and after several days of waiting, I was informed that a refund was issued, which would take 10 days. Now, 12 days have passed with no sign of the refund, and my bank has confirmed that no money is pending to return to my account. Furthermore, no one is responding to my emails. I have reported this situation to the appropriate authorities for selling defective products. It's a terrible experience with a company that is selling faulty goods.
The band doesn't stay in place due to a poor Velcro design. Now I find myself wearing both this band and another watch, which doesn't look good together. I initially purchased the band to access scale data, and while I have that now, the strap is unreliable, as many other reviews have indicated. I wish they would just utilize data from the other watch. The Hume Band is far from reliable as a pedometer or activity tracker. I'm really regretting the expense and decision to buy this item!
This is a complete rip-off. The information provided is severely limited and raises serious doubts about its accuracy. The battery performance is laughable—it lasts only a few days at most and drops from around 30-50% to completely dead, making it impossible to know how much charge is left. I genuinely regret falling for this obvious scam. Update: I've just seen a video that reveals the truth behind this scam. I can't share the link, but it's titled "fake scientists & cheap hardware."
This is a complete scam. The data provided is very limited and its accuracy is highly questionable. The battery is terrible—it barely lasts a couple of days and can drop from around 30-50% to completely dead without warning. I regret falling for this obvious scam. Update: I watched a video that reveals the truth about this scam, titled 'fake scientists & cheap hardware.'
Disappointing battery life and misleading claims on their website about an update improving battery life. They state it lasts 10 to 12 days, but in reality, it only lasts 4 to 5 days at most. On a positive note, the information it provides is impressive. Paired with the body pod, it performs well, but a monthly subscription is needed for full functionality. Once they improve battery life and introduce wireless charging, I could rate it higher. I wear it daily and appreciate the feedback it offers.
