Annoying Password Issues After Update

A recent security update by the developers made my password invalid due to a special character it contained. This change prevented me from logging in. To make matters worse, the developers changed my special character to another one without notifying me. This incident happened just after I transferred part of my balance to a higher-yielding account elsewhere, making me believe my account was compromised for about 15 minutes until I could reset my password. The lack of communication from the developers raises concerns about the security of my funds, and I'm considering moving my entire balance to another bank.

Developers Changed My Password Without Warning

Avoid This Bank!

I initially opened a high-yield savings account with this bank and faced no issues. However, once I switched to a checking account, everything went downhill. Accessing my own funds is incredibly frustrating. The ATM withdrawal limits are unreasonably low, and Zelle transfer limits are also very restrictive. If I need to deposit a check over $10K, I have to mail it in. Even the staff seems poorly trained; a supervisor confidently told me there were no wire transfer fees, which was incorrect. If you value convenience and reliable service, I recommend choosing a larger bank or a local credit union instead. Do not trust this bank with your money.

Confused by Negative Reviews

I find the negative reviews confusing. My online experiences have been fantastic. I only have a savings account, and the interest rate is among the best available. Transferring money to and from my account is easy and smooth. I haven't needed to call customer service, so I can't comment on that aspect, but my banking needs are quite simple: deposit money and watch it grow with FDIC insurance. I can easily withdraw it when needed.

The ongoing issues with OTP/MFA preventing account access, unannounced account disabling, and poor customer service suggest a troubling pattern. My account was disabled without notice, and their response to my complaint pointed me to my mobile carrier to resolve OTP issues, despite the OTPs being delivered successfully but not recognized by their system. This is both irrelevant and frustrating, shifting the responsibility for their technical failures onto the customer. They acknowledged their mistake but failed to outline steps to prevent future occurrences. Given these serious concerns, I have requested an investigation into their practices. Proceed with caution.

Poor Policies and Service

The policies and customer service here are terrible. It's challenging to withdraw your money once it's deposited. Their online banking platform is not user-friendly at all, and customer service keeps you on hold for a long time, only to be unhelpful. I attempted to withdraw most of my funds, but the process became complicated. The customer service feels deceptive, and their policies seem designed to delay access to your money. I manage multiple accounts with different banks, and most are easy to deal with, but this bank is awful. Their slightly higher interest rates are not worth the hassle. Look for better options.

Confusing CD Maturity Process

I received an email stating my CD would mature within 30 days, but there were no instructions on how to close it or transfer the funds. A kind employee informed me that this could only be done by phone the day after maturity. She mentioned I could set it up in advance through a secure message, using specific phrasing and account numbers. Why isn't this information readily available? Additionally, this bank does not allow the use of a password manager, making it quite user-unfriendly.

Unreliable App and Website

The app and website are practically useless, riddled with bugs and a confusing interface that often forgets my settings, especially login details. ACH transfers have taken over four business days, when they should only take a few hours to two days, which means I have no access to those funds. I regret following recommendations for this bank and am now stuck waiting indefinitely for access to my money. The interest rate isn't worth the overwhelming frustration.

Disappointing Customer Service

The customer service is disappointing, and their practices feel questionable. I opened a savings account here due to an attractive interest rate, but it has only gotten worse. I accidentally discovered a new savings account with a much higher interest rate that they never informed me about. When I called, they moved my funds easily but set it up for online statements without my consent, despite my preference for mail. I had to call to switch back to paper statements, but their call center was closed. As soon as the interest rate drops, I will be looking to move my money elsewhere.

Unauthorized Withdrawals

This bank allowed unauthorized withdrawals from my account by a stranger, some made through their ATMs. I requested to see the photos of the individual who made these withdrawals, as the bank had the specific details, but they simply refused and did not return my money.
