South Croydon Branch - Committing Fraud and Illegal Advice

Paul O-T who works here asked for my private payment details to take holing deposit and my card was fraudulently used shortly after. I had a new card sent out and my first use of the card was with Barnard Marcus again, this time the manager Jordan D-G, who took my card out of my sight to take deposit payment and shortly after again my card was used for the same company fraudulent transaction. Stay clear or at least do not let them see or hear your payment information. So many more issues with these Agents too, don’t reply to messages, offer the landlord illegal advice etc. Police report has been raised for fraud and the bank are working with the police on it and also they forced us to move in quickly to a flat that had so many outstanding repairs was a hazard and because of their incorrect advise to the landlord we are taking her to court for breach of the contract. Cannot stress to avoid enough! Telling everyone about it and they’re appalled! Not worth the risk to ever work with Barnard Marcus, esp South Croydon branch again!!

Appalling Experience at Barnard Marcus Streatham BranchI am compelled to share my extremely disappointing experience with Barnard Marcus Streatham by leaving this 1-star review. The events that unfolded during my tenancy with this agency have been appalling, prompting me to caution potential clients.During a recent vacation, my rented flat became the target of a burglary orchestrated during house viewings organised by Barnard Marcus Streatham. The lack of communication regarding these viewings, coupled with the unprofessional conduct of their staff, has been profoundly distressing.The senior manager, Bernardo Reggi, completely disregards tenant rights and safety. Despite explicit requests for communication via email due to work commitments, persistent phone calls disrupted our lives. Additionally, the failure to report the burglary during a viewing and the subsequent conflicting statements provided to the police only added to the chaos.My attempt to address these issues during a visit to their office was met with aggression and unprofessional behaviour from Mr. Reggi. Instead of empathy and resolution, I experienced hostility.In light of these incidents, I implore potential clients to be cautious when considering Barnard Marcus Streatham for their property needs. The lack of security measures during viewings, miscommunication and unprofessional conduct of their staff are serious red flags.Moreover, after the property was burgled, they refused to provide the landlord’s contact details, as Bernardo Reggi (Senior Manager) claimed that the landlord "doesn’t have time for people like us" since he owns multiple properties around the area and doesn’t want to waste his time on us.I sincerely hope that this review serves as a warning and encourages the agency to take immediate action to rectify their shortcomings and ensure their clients' safety, security, and well-being. Finally, I want to warn everyone that the 5-star reviews you see here are from the estate agents who keep begging the people to leave reviews after they signed the papers, as they asked me around 5 times when I signed with them. Therefore, it doesn’t truly reflect their professionalism at all.

I have read all the bad reviews but have to say that this was not my experience. From the first viewing to the final exchange of contract, Jake was always helpful and friendly. Was always available, answered all my questions and dealt smoothly with any hiccups. I am very happy in my new home

Horrible experience with Callum

Inquired about a property which we wanted to buy in cash. Had the misfortune of speaking to a very rude Callum. Conversation went like this:We: Interested in purchasing this property on cash. Can we view it. Callum: No. We: Umm, ok, could we atleast see a video?Callum: No. We: How are you proposing to sell this without us being able to see it?Very rude abrupt responses. This really isn't how you sell properties. I would never ask them to sell mine.

Barnard Marcus Flat Management

I am a landlord who pays a not insignificant amount of money to Barnard Marcus so that my flat can be managed in my absence. I have to say, it is rare that you encounter this level of incompetence. They left my tenants with no heating for over a week even though I had outlined what needed to be done to resolve the issue. They do not read, or at least read but do not understand simple emails that are sent to them and are generally acopic.Cannot wait for the contract to be up so that I can get rid of them. Avoid at all costs.

They are from my experience realistic and you might have to wait for the right applicant but they turn out to be the right fit and successful candidate/s for your property. In fact I had 4 offers more than enough to choose from. That comes with experience and knowledge of the area and fitting the right applicants to affordability and lifestyle. So this kind of experienced wisdom which Leon and Eva display as a team is very , very, extra special. It certainly benefited me and got me through successfully to a successful sale for my property which was marketed by Barnard Marcus Muswell Hill.
