Review Time
My husband and I started the process of buying our first home together. We found a property that would have been perfect for our family, arranged a viewing and shortly after made an offer. At this point, we were told no other offers had been made. After chasing for several days, we were eventually told the first offer we made wasn’t accepted so we increased it by a considerable amount. Following that offer, we were told they’d update one of us within 48 hours. It’s been a month and we are yet to receive an update from any one …A few weeks ago we contacted the estate agents for an update on the offer we made. We were advised by 3 members of staff on 3 different occasions that selling the property has been put on hold, as requested by the owners. We were promised that when it is up and running again we would receive a call. I have just driven past the property and there is a SOLD sign outside. Online it says the same. Our offer was clearly not passed on to the owners and we weren’t given a fair shot to increase our offer if needed.I would never recommend this estate agents for buying or selling a property, all of them are extremely unprofessional and dishonest
Barnard Marcus of Covent Garden are excellent estate agents. The Branch Manager is Francesca Lewis. I was contacted by them a few months ago and they have now sold my two bedroom flat in Pimlico.The money is now in my bank account gaining interest.My optimistic asking price was £550,000, and Jake Tharp, the Assistant Branch Manager, managed to achieve a respectable £530,000, with property prices in London falling all the time, and a potential general UK financial crisis on its way very soon.They are all good people, professional, proactive, friendly and patient in a stressful activity for us all. I recommend them to everyone.
Recently enquired about a couple of properties and although not usually one for leaving a review, I felt compelled - the standard of care and professionalism was well above my usual experience of London estate agents (Imogen was fabulous)! Thank you.
Made an appointment to have one of my to flats valued to out on the market. Justgot a call 45 minutes prior to meeting that ' The valuer is in a meeting that is over- running so he is having to cancel' Thanks to the Sydenham branch for being unreliable and cancelling last minute. Will not be bringing you business anytime soon!
