I love the classes, swimming and gym etc. The staff are awesome, welcoming and helpful. I have taken participated in many of the classes and someone with really bad anxiety and who struggled to step into fitness again I have found the experience to be really amazing, met friendly people and now look forward to booking new sessions when this once was a scary thing for me. Overall my experience has been positive and I have been a member since September. The classes and swimming really do help, I feel the physical benefits of getting fitter and am very much enjoying my journey and being able to take it at my own pace.

The only reason for 4 stars and not 5 is because I think the app could be improved.

If there are pool events and swimming lessons - they often leave a lane open for swim for fitness. When you book this, it doesn't let you know that there are other events going on and that you will be stuck in one lane. The staff will prioritise this lane for "competitive swimmers" who will complain that the "slower swimmers" are an inconvenience. This could be avoided if the app prompted us to let us know when we are booking whilst the pool is in use for other activities and could save a wasted trip. This is not the fault of the staff working at the time, it is simply something that should be made more evident on the app when booking.

Really knowledgeable, understanding and helped me after discussing with her colleagues for me to feel more comfortable in new situations environment with my personal/physical health struggles, I feel really safe🌟
After I was in swimming pool which was quieter than when I was there last time, I really appreciate all your help and caring to make me feel more comfortable and safe in difficult situations cause by my personal physical health conditions, thanks very much to all 🌟

I have recently joined the healthwise programme via a GP referral. The scheme is a brilliant idea enabling me to exercise under the guidance of a very knowledgeable staff member. The centre is clean, the gym very well equiped and the staff are welcoming. The water in the pool is way too cold though!

Changing rooms are very tired and dirty. The cleanliness and smell has not improved with this new ownership.
The dirt is not new dirt, it's built up nasty slimy grime which needs serious attention.
I left this gym before as I was disappointed with it's cleanliness levels, and I was hopeful the new ownership would improve matters.
Hopefully this can be addressed or I will need to consider cancelling my membership again.

The facilities at Richmond Pools On The Park are filthy and is not up to the standards of other Better gyms. High level and low level cleaning are both being over looked and require urgent attention. The paving areas around the pools are not being kept clean and tidy. There is a build up of dirt, rubbish and discarded equipment in front of gym windows and around the exterior of the building. The external paving needs sweeping and jet washing on a regular basis. Deep cleaning is not taking place. Lockers are not being wiped out. Changing cubicles walls and doors are not being washed down. Wall tiles are not being cleaned. Upper and lower windows are in an extremely dirty state. Mirrors in gyms are not cleaned to a good standard. The yoga room floor is often not being cleaned on a daily basis, there is often dust in the corners. The floors in gym areas are not cleaned to a sufficient standard, there is dirt in the corners, under and around equipment. Gym equipment is not being wiped down on a daily basis. There is a general build up of dirt in the corners of where floors meet walls etc. Shower walls are not being cleaned. Base boards and wall plinths where walls meet floors are being over looked and require regular scrubbing. Things need to be moved when cleaning, there is a build up of dust behind doors. The floor balcony areas plus all around the staff room and the top of the staff lockers are in a shocking condition with engrained dust and grime. The scrubbing of tiled areas around the pool appears not to be efficient or organised as areas are missed or overlooked. This is a beautiful building, staff should be proud to work here and hopefully want to work in a building that presents to a high standard.

Half term and I don't have the password for the app (wife does and she's at work).
So children couldn't swim today even though there are spaces at Teddington.
I phoned twice for help but they wouldn't let me book on the phone and I was told that the girls couldn't pay at the door.
That's lost revenue for the pool, disappointed children and frustrating waste of time for me.

If the front Reception could have helped then they didn't make that clear. In fact they said the opposite.

I believe them in that they couldn't help with the password as I don't have access to my wife's email account either, to reset a password.

Why they can no longer take a phone booking using a name and a credit card, or a booking at the door without an app, is beyond me.. They used to be able to do both of these things at Teddington Pool. They would rather have an empty pool I guess. When I phoned in the morning they had 6 free spaces between 4pm and 5pm.

(Wife went swimming tonight. Mentioned all this at the desk. Seems the central call centre people on the phone gave out completely incorrect info when they said we couldn't turn up and get in if there was space. Not very well organised by Better so the one star remains.)

Exceptional service from Lamia at the desk first class . I can always rely on when to help with my queries and bookings. I noticed her badge she has been moved up to a supervisor and let me say that's well deserved as many other members will feel the same way based on her work ethic and kindness. Barnet copthall is very clean and maintained well . Good yoga and body conditioning classes and I am happy inclusive swim I am happy this is offered on Sundays !❤️❤️❤️

On a day when there are 79/80 free slots in the gym upto 30minutes before going, I get delayed on the train and get marked as a "NO SHOW" then charged £3 with the excuse "I prevented others being able to book in by taking a slot"...what utter BullS.
The amount of times the gates are open and people stroll in, yet I can't make it and I get charged.

I had not booked a class, session, court...nothing it was a simple gym session, in somewhere that insanely still stipulates COVID style booking.

To say in the terms the window is 4hrs before is idiotic, if you cant make it you are unlikely to know 4hrs!!!!! before.
Well Done on losing an Any Time Membership!
