Simple and straightforward. Made a reservation online, did online check-in as well. And this was just the day before, so very last minute. Arrived at rental location and spent just 5 minutes to get the keys. Car was perfect. Will use again if I am ever back in Iceland (I do hope so!).
Never hired a car before, let alone in another country but couldn't fault the experience. Communication was clear, car was great and drop off was extremely quick and easy!
Chose Blue Car as I wanted to pick up at the airport and drop off in Reykjavik; and to go through a local company that would best understand specific risks in driving around Iceland. I paid extra for more insurance/breakdown cover which I fortunately did not need, but did not regret as it gave me that peace of mind.

Overall the rental process was great, we booked online in advance and at the last minute there was a chance we needed to adjust the reservation. The team was very responsive to this request. The car was great, no issues. The check in and check out was super fast.

Partnering with the service was quite convenient from the moment we picked up the car to its return. I noticed numerous vehicles being returned and thoroughly inspected by the staff of another rental company on my way to the airport. Choosing to rent from this service was a wise decision, as we simply left the car and dropped the keys at their office, which saved us from potentially missing our flight. However, the vehicle we rented was older and used, and the company should consider checking the wipers, as they are not safe to use, especially in poor weather conditions.
