I clicked a yellow button with a cart icon, assuming it was the normal “add to cart” / “pay” button while ordering vitamins, Only afterwards did I realise that the small text under the button referred to a “Select” subscription for a full year. There was no clear, prominent warning that I was starting a paid annual membership after a trial, and there were no follow‑up emails informing me that the trial was ending or that money would be charged.
This is a classic example of “forced continuity”: a type of dark pattern where a “free trial” silently turns into a paid subscription if you don’t cancel in time. In my case, the yearly Select subscription was activated and the amount was taken from my account without any clear prior notice. I only saw the charge in my banking app, not in an email or an explicit reminder. Support refused a refund for this mistaken signup, so I'm ditching Bol.com for another customer-friendly service.
I experienced a significant problem when the service mistakenly delivered three packages to my address while I was away. My neighbor, not checking the name and address, accepted the deliveries. The company offered no real solution other than asking me to cover the return costs, for which they would only provide a voucher instead of a refund. I find this level of support inadequate, as I shouldn't be held accountable for their supplier's mistake. The support agent couldn't suggest a better resolution and ended the chat without my approval, erasing the conversation history and leaving me with no record of their unsatisfactory assistance. To me, the solution seems straightforward: the company should send me three return labels for the packages.
They partner with companies who do not deliver. You buy an expensive thing (>600€) during black friday, company decides they will not ship it after 2 weeks of waiting. Then bol.com does not do anything about it, it only has personnel with attitude better than high school child.
Good morning, I want to share my experience with the service, which has once again shown extreme irresponsibility by using a courier service. My parcel did not arrive, even though the courier claims it was delivered. I reviewed the delivery times on my security cameras, and there was no courier present at all. Best regards.
We have ordered a DELIVERED christmas tree and have been home for THAT reason. Their socalled partner has NOT been at the door, but has just send an email, that the tree can be picked up. THE REASON WE ordered the tree was not to carry it ! When you contact BOL they just put it on their socalled partners. Ive not done a purchase with their partners, but with BOL.
I had one of the worst online shopping experiences with bol.com. I placed an order (A000AU1MHJ) during the Black Friday promotions(Ordered onNovember 21, 2025) and received a great discount at the time. However, despite buying it 20 days ago, the product was never delivered. After several contacts with customer service, the only solution they offered was a refund.This is extremely disappointing because not only did bol.com keep my money for nearly three weeks, but now the same product costs significantly more everywhere. During this whole period, I also missed the chance to buy it at a comparable price from other stores.What frustrates me the most is the lack of responsibility and the feeling that the customer is left alone to deal with the consequences of their failure. It’s simply unacceptable for a company of this size to handle orders this way. Truly the worst shopping experience I’ve had in years.
Good morning, I would like to share my experience with the company bol.com, once again they proved to be extremely irresponsible by entrusting courier shipments to TRUNKRS.The parcel did not arrive even though the courier company TRUNKRS claims it was delivered.I checked the alleged delivery times on the security cameras, and there was no courier at all. Super bad return policy. They deliver your order quickly but to get your refund, takes 2 working weeks ! They also don’t screen their sellers properly, the seller sent me completely different order than what they were promoting. Like a local Temu brand. UPDATE: Still no reaction from the seller, and bol said they will contact the seller. I want my money back to buy from a legit seller at bol.
There is no customer support anymore. Particularly, when ordering via partners. I ordered a washing machine with Elektro Voordeel, which sent me an invoice from a company Woaka with kvk 96647698. The machine machine is delayed for a week, it is impossible to reach the seller, the mentally challenged customer bot wasn't giving me the customer service email, which i had to search reddit for (which is by the way klantenservice[at]bol.com and number 030-3104999 (both outsourced to some random company). Plus, their web page doesn't support English language in the 21st century.
