Review Time
Disappointed with delivery estimates. Placed two orders and received delivery estimates but had to chase company for updates. Phoned today - Friday, to be told that I might not get a reply until Monday. I accept that delays can occur, but please keep me updated. It shouldn’t be down to the customer to chase their orders. Please be proactive and communicate.
I'd chosen California Shutters based on the strong reviews, however, my experience has got me thinking either the quality has dropped drastically in a short time, or some of these reviews are not genuine.I ordered on 30th April and the first batch arrived on 9th May so in good time. However, the shutters were hard to open, some slats wonky, covered in black marks, markings for drilling left uncleaned, wreckless hole drilled where one of the clips should fit. Simply just no pride in their work nor care for the customer it seems.The customer service team have been great and tried their best - arranged replacement shutters, delivered 22 May - however it was the same story, if not worse, one shutter was loose/falling apart with slats falling out if you looked at it the wrong way then same as the above for the rest plus even harder to operate the tilt mechanism.I'm glad I ordered from a different company at the same time as the difference in quality is night and day - clean, smooth tilt mechanism and no marks.So at best I'll get a refund but still sat here almost 5 weeks ongoing with a lot of hassle and nothing to show for it. Therefore all in all, proceed with caution and consider other options as there are companies providing better products out there.
Good communication after raising delivery issues. Ordered shutters on the 16th of January and received the final part today. After many emails and phone calls to the company the missing part of the shutters finally turned up after being lost in transit. The shutters are good quality and very nice, it's such a shame that the very poor delivery service has really put a cloud over the overall purchase. The people at Californian shutters were as helpful as they could be, however as I have stated the delivery service was extremely poor.
This my third order (CS14006) with California Shutters. This order did not disappoint. The measuring tools are useful and there is good customer support to answer any queries. My order was delivered on time, all parts included and were simple to fit. The aftercare team followed up with a courtesy call to ensure I was satisfied.
