WHY they DO NOT DELIVER to the door? I payed $17 for EXPRESS delivery. Can not walk as I recently had a surgery. Was whole day near the opened WIDE my entrance door - they managed to sneak pass my house - and left package in the mail room.

When is the Canadian Government either going to crack down on Canada Post inefficiencies.I just ordered an item from a Toronto supplier that was shipped July 23rd to Brandon Mb. As I needed the item by July 27th I was advised to pay $17.00 and change and ship by Canada Post Express Post as delivery was guaranteed in two days, which incidentally is stated on the C. P. Website. Then C. P. Sent me a notice that parcel had been picked up and supplied a tracking number. Upon tracking I was advised That estimated delivery date was Monday July 30th !!! Or 7 days from the time parcel was received by C.P... not the guaranteed two day delivery. This is the second time I have paid for Express Post and had it take many more days than the C.P. guarantee. I note many, many complaints on line yet the rot at C.P. continues. Conclusion: don’t pay for Express Post from a supplier if you need the item in a hurry. Specify and pay for a good courier service. Canada Post Express Post falls under the category of Fraudulent Scams

Canada post just gave me the worst postal experience I have ever had. They take no responsibility for their mistakes and their employees seem to indifferent to their job. I got to wait over a week of them trying to blame me for having the wrong address when i did not and them telling me they would try to deliver it again when they did not. Walking a couple miles to get your parcel is a much better option. Or just go with any other courier if possible.

Canada Post has ALWAYS gotten me my parcels and I've never actually lost an item (though, one item did have a YEAR long journey).
In my part of Toronto (M4J1C4) they nearly always deliver on the first attempt, and, if the first attempt isn't successful they have it available for pick up at at the local Shoppers within a few hours--only a 10 minute walk. This compares very favourably with my experience with Purolator and even DHL (who are themselves substantially better than Purolator).
And, even "lost" mail comes back (and, I got a refund on the S/H and the insurance). Once I sent a letter to an east African country "registered". The letter disappeared, but, we now know that it sat, unclaimed for 10 months in a tropical post office before being returned to Canada (I will even give their local post office credit for returning the letter, eventually). Needless to say I never did business with the company that failed to claim the letter.
