The service itself was good—on time and everything went smoothly. My concern isn’t with the driver or the service but with your company’s pay structure. Why don’t you provide drivers with a fair wage instead of relying on constant tipping prompts on your website and car signs? It gives the impression that tips are their primary source of income. Isn’t the driver an employee of your company? We already paid $80 for the transfer, yet the messaging makes it feel like we’re being guilted into paying extra, even though we assumed the fare covered the driver’s compensation.
I booked and paid a premium price for a Suburban or like luxury SUV that seats 5 people (exactly as the eTransfers website says with a picture of a Suburban). For those who have been to Cancun, the luxury SUV is either a Suburban or Ford Expedition. What showed up was a Nissan X-Trail that at most could squeeze in 4 passengers. I contacted the service and they told me that it was the vehicle I'd receive and to board or to lose my ride. When I requested at minimum a partial refund, I was told that there was no recourse and no refund would be issued. We had used eTransfer private vans several times in the past without issue. This time around, I was scammed by eTransfers. I do not recommend, and will not use in the future.The eTransfers drivers have always been very courteous, and in this specific situation the drive was very kind and empathetic to the situation.
