BEWARE OF SCAM
Absolutely HORRIBLE!!! Not sure how booking.com allows them to do business. They are a scam and not legit. They couldn’t give me receipt upon deposit. Asked me to leave a review so I could get my money back quicker.
Terrible experience with the service. I picked up the "VW Golf or equivalent" (~27k RRP) but received a Hyundai i10 (~15k RRP) and was told it was "in the same bracket." It took 40 minutes to finalize details that were already provided during booking. Although we purchased fully comprehensive insurance when booking, we were informed at pickup that we weren't covered and needed to buy additional coverage at outrageous prices. We chose not to do this and relied on the insurance we obtained online. The next day, the car wouldn't start. I contacted the service team, who said they couldn’t assist since we weren't insured. I then called a roadside assistance service they recommended, only to find out the car was out of warranty and they had no policy with them. INEFFECTIVE CUSTOMER SERVICE. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED.

If I could give them zero stars, I would. They are a complete scam. The moment I said I had my own insurance, they pressured me into taking theirs. Eventually, I was told I could go, with no mention of taking photos or videos. When I opened the car, it was dirty inside, and there was trash in the trunk. During our drive, I realized the windshield washer was empty—I had to use my drinking water to refill it. Upon return, I was met with rude staff who immediately accused me of causing damage that was pre-existing. I was coerced into paying a hefty amount from my deposit. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE, THEY ARE FRAUDULENT!
I had an awful experience. They never picked me up at the airport. I called multiple times with no response. The employee claimed his phone was having issues, but they ignored emails and messages too. Despite having proof of my attempts to contact them, the employee refused to assist, stating my reservation was void since I didn’t pick up the car the previous day. How could I pick it up if they never answered my calls? Illogical.
As a senior looking to save money, I found this service through a travel platform for my trip to Florida. The advertised price was appealing, but the unpleasant surprises began at the rental office, which is inconveniently located outside the airport with a poor shuttle service. The staff pressured me to purchase limited insurance, or I risked losing my reservation money if I canceled after starting the process. This felt like a scam, as they seemed intent on keeping the payment made at booking. Unfortunately, I lost my money and had a terrible start to my vacation.
I wish I had seen these reviews before booking. This service is a scam designed to extract as much money as possible from you. From taking public transport to collect the car to the intrusive driver on the shuttle, everything felt off. I was quoted more than £600 for insurance, which was more than the rental cost! They also pressured me into purchasing breakdown cover, which should be included in the rental. The deposit was an outrageous £1500. I was told my luggage wouldn’t fit, necessitating an expensive upgrade. Thankfully, my bank flagged the deposit payment as suspicious, preventing me from renting the car. I had to leave in the middle of the night with my children to find a taxi. I’m relieved we escaped this situation.
In short: this company is a fraud. They fabricate cancellation policies, disregard any information provided online, and pressure you into purchasing additional insurance. Upon returning the car, they charged for minor scratches that many customers had already been charged for. They invent fees and taxes. Other customers at the same time were also discussing issues like denial of credit cards and driving licenses. This company is nothing short of a fraud.
They deserve a zero rating. This service is a scam. They pressured me into purchasing overpriced insurance, made me wait excessively, and treated every client poorly. We declined their insurance as we had coverage from another provider. When returning the nearly new car, they found a tiny chip on the windshield after a lengthy inspection and demanded £1000, forcing us to fill out paperwork for a refund.
From the moment we entered, I sensed something was wrong. The staff member at the desk didn’t even greet us and seemed uninterested in helping. We made a simple mistake with the credit card name, but instead of assisting, she insisted it was not her fault. She pressured us to sign up for payment by bank card without explaining the differences. When we noticed the rental price had suddenly quadrupled, along with a high deposit and daily insurance fees, we sought clarification but were met with accusations of disrespect. We left without the car and opted for a taxi, which turned out to be a much better decision.
