They state the first charge will be credited back. Beware that you will b charge twice in a pending status. I will not purchase anything else from them. Shady business!

5 Stars for Cato ladies & women’s clothing stores

I’ve been shopping at Cato, Rio Rancho, NM for approx 18 yrs. I’ve travelled & shopped heavily in CA, CO, OK, TX and I honestly say that most best experiences and the very best value of quality of fabrics, variety of styles, value for my money, has been at this Cato location; I no longer even try shopping anywhere else.I do know, because I’m a longtime customer, that any employee who doesn’t treat a customer with utmost respect does not stay long. Employees do have to ask customers who have a load of clothes on an arm is asked if they can start a fitting room for them, to free up their arms for ease in shopping, not because a customer is being suspected of shoplifting; its company policy for customer care. It’s like that at all nicer clothing stores. Recently, visiting in CA, shopping with my daughter in the upper class women’s clothing stores, I noticed many of the same items that I had just seen in my favorite Cato Store in NM, for at least $100-$150 more in the CA shops (like in Anthropology). Cato offers beautiful, newest styles clothing, at extremely affordable prices. They even still offer Lay-Away!

I went in there for a funeral outfit…

I went in there for a funeral outfit for a two year old that just passed, I was exhausted from crying, I almost didn’t go.. I went in and immediately this lady started in on me, * let me take those to the back for you * …me working in retail for as long as I did knew that she thought I was going to steal. She didn’t do it to any other woman in there who were 50+ getting their holiday specials in. But because I didn’t look like them ( I’m younger and just got off work ) and probably was disheveled..the cherry on the cake was when I went to go try on an outfit..lady looks directly at my badge to see who I was and where I worked * just in case * in a time of grief that was the last thing I needed. Do better for your younger customers

Miss Mary needs an attitude adjustment

There is a woman that seems to be maybe the manager in Catoes of Hartsville SC. That is the rudest employee I have ever had the displeasure to meet.I was in the store 6 months ago and swore to never go there again. I caved Saturday and went in with my grandaughters. We were treated like scum to say the least. She bullied my blind grandaughter for leaving a hanger on a rack, (which we were buying the item)She looked at us really nasty and said, "THIS is the childrens department" (I had an 8 year old with me, duh). I asked where the tank tops were and she pointed, no assistance at all. These episodes combined with the mean mugging helped me resolve to never try the store again. My girls wanted what they had picked out, so I was stuck making a 77.00 purchase, but it wont happen again. I asked another employee her name and they said it was Mary.

Review is for on-line experience. The site is dishonest. Items are not shipped from North Carolina. They are shipped from China. They will not arrive in 7-10 days. They will never arrive. The customer service is nonsense. They will take your money. You will get no merchandise. Do not fall for this scam.

I ordered from Cato nearly a month ago, June 23rd, and yesterday, July 13th, I received an email saying half my items were canceled because they were out of stock. How are they out of stock if I already paid for them?! Why did it take them almost a month to package and ship an order? And after I emailed them asking to cancel the rest of my order because of how ridiculous this was, they said they can’t and I’ll just have to return them when I get them myself. Absolutely ridiculous. No reason a company should have this poor online services in 2024.

Gigantic shoes. Paid for shipping both ways

I ordered the strap cone heel sandal. I ordered my regular size. They were literally 3 sizes too big. I paid for shipping. The cost of the return shipping was deducted from my refund, so I paid shipping twice. I find this to be unsatisfactory and will not be shopping with Cato again.

Great shopping experience!

After several attempts of trying to shop there (the store was always closed), I decided to try again the other night. What a wonderful experience! Found everything I needed and everything is of good quality. The sales people were fantastic! Will go back every Tuesday when stock comes in! Highly recommend!

I do not even want to give them one…

I do not even want to give them one star. I am still waiting on an order that I paid for. I called them two different times to tell them that UPS says that though there is a tracking number, but Catos have not asked for the package to be picked up and only the label was made. They denied this on the two different phone calls, saying it was already shipped and on its way. I called one more time today and told them that UPS says that it’s not true once again and she finally admitted it has not even left their warehouse. It is going on 21 days they say they ship between seven and 10 days. The woman was incredibly rude about it.
