The windows are great and everything ran very smoothly with installation. The star off is due to the price, which was much higher than other companies and the way you are pressured into making a decision right then or the price increases. I don’t ever think you should have to make a split decision unless it is about life or death and windows are neither. I did go ahead and buy from Champion even though the price was higher because we had already looked at other window companies and felt Champion had superior windows.
The saleswoman, technician who came to measure, and the installation technicians were all knowledgable and easy to work with. They all encouraged us to reach out with questions or concerns we had. We are very pleased with the quality of the windows as well!
Aaron stopped at the house today to show the options for new windows and possible door. We are holding off on the door at this time but we signed a contract for the windows. He walked us through options, listened to our financial needs and came up with the best option for us. Great job Aaron, it was great working with you today! We look forward to working with you and champion for institutions!
We contacted Champion windows after hearing a radio or TV ad. They promptly scheduled an in home visit for the end of July. The Salesman was friendly, we measured the windows and priced up the project. To begin with, I do not like the Champion 'Yes' program, where 10% of the 50% listed discount is if you agree to windows and sign paperwork the same day. We needed a price to go to the bank for a home improvement loan. The window price (now at a 40% discount) was good for 30 days. After the salesman left, we couldn't get them to return phone calls or texts. To be fair, they did call a couple of times last month (One or both of us were out of town). I called Champion Windows twice last month to ask for the salesman to contact me and get me a contract. The salesman (in one rare phone call) said they were traveling and could stop by on a weekend to drop off a contract. They didn't stop by. When I called Champion Windows a second time, I explained that the 30 days were running out and I wanted to lock in the price. The salesman called at about day 29 to say that the prices were only good for 30 days and if we wanted the sale price we needed to sign the contract. I am extremely frustrated that the salesman can't deliver a contract in 30 days; I am taking my business elsewhere. I have a window prices from several home improvement stores, and a local contractor lined up.
If I could have gone lower than 1 Star I would. I have been waiting on someone to contact me for 6 months now over a stupid window screen. How long does it take to get 1 window screen? Oh yes, they say they will call...still waiting for that. So disappointed in this company, go anywhere but here.
Patrick the salesman came to our house in the middle of May. He was very polite and helpful. He sold us on the product (sunroom and patio door), price and warranty. The engineer (Ryan Bell) was very through and clarified a few questions we had. We realized that the installation of the sunroom would be delayed due to COVID-19, but that the patio door would be installed sometime in July. Good to their word, the installer (did not get his name) called two days in advance, showed up on time and did a great job.
