I ordered a virtual gift card from Columbia Sportswear on December 24, 2025. It was delivered to the wrong email address due to an error that needed correction. When I contacted customer service, I was told the gift card would be reissued to the correct email.
Over one month later, the gift card has still not been delivered.
When I followed up to request a refund, I was told a refund was not possible and that I would need to wait up to six weeks for the corrected virtual gift card to be sent. This is completely unacceptable for a digital product that should be delivered instantly or within days.
Customer service claimed the delay was due to additional payment and identity verification. The payment processed successfully to my credit card at the time of purchase, and I have now completed identity verification twice.
A six-week wait for a virtual gift card, with no option for a refund, is unreasonable. This experience has been frustrating, disappointing, and a huge waste of time. I would not recommend purchasing gift cards from Columbia Sportswear based on this experience.
