Prior to placing my reservation for an RV, I tried to locate a 21’- 24’ footer at several sites online, located an available 21’ footer at the North Hampton, NH. site. Called and spoke with a Rick Nichols on 7/24 and he confirmed the availability of the 21’ footer at that location. Upon pickup on 08/08/25 I was upset to find they substituted the RV 21’ to a 19’ footer. I was and still am furious, I made myself perfectly clear to Rick Nichols what my expectations were, he knew precisely what our needs were and my preference for a 21’ footer, I paid for a 21’ footer and they “Bait and Switched” me to a lesser sized one without my permission and or knowledge. I called and spoke to Rick Nichols which was a moot point and added insult to my integrity, the people at the North Hampton office were of no help and only made it clear that they were not responsible for changes made. The entire experience was awful and I will never rent another RV from them again. Never got my full deposit back either… Be careful people!
There is a significant gap between the appealing commercials and the reality of the RV we rented for our vacation. We rented unit 310103 and encountered the following issues:The gas did not work properly, and we could only fill it halfway.The RV had a pervasive smell of urine throughout.The tire alarm was defective.The water supply was leaking. When we connected the external water supply at the campsite, water spilled all over the floor, rendering the toilet, sink, and shower unusable.There was a large ant nest living inside the walls.I called Cruise America multiple times on Monday and Tuesday, but their only response was to direct me to the dealer from whom I rented the RV. Upon contacting the dealer, I was told that I needed to speak with Cruise America, leaving me in a frustrating loop with no one willing to assist.As a result, we returned the camper earlier than planned.Cruise America, if you respond to this comment, please do not instruct me to write to the customer-relations again, as I reached out to you on Wednesday and have yet to receive a response.

Esteban, the agent that took our initial reservation and then the adjusted reservation when we needed to change the dates, was super friendly, knowledgeable, professional, and patient providing information, answering dozens of questions, and explaining multiple details. Outstanding customer service!
