I'm a designer and seller on the platform, it works amazingly. First of all, on other platforms there are a lot of hidden fees, and weird ways to get paid (for example CGTrader works with Hyperwallet which is a Paypal platform and has terrible exchange rates, every time I want to move the money, I lose at least 3% of my earnings + lots of hidden fees and higher commission). On Cults3D they say 20% and it is 20%. The SEO works amazingly, I can find my design on google easily, and on the platform as well. The staff responds quickly, and really listen. They let you sponsor your socials, which is amazing, and even add a donation link if you want. That's freedom at its peak, while other platform threat you with a ban as a big seller if you dare to sponsor your socials. As designers we are oblidged to answer all the customers otherwise the customer will get a refund or they'll block the payment until we do, that's how it should work everywhere, to make the clients feel safe.

The positives? well they listen to artists like myself and customers who have a problem. My followers on Cults have took my advice a number of times and sent an email and report a reply in less than 2 working days for any problems I as the seller cannot fix. They listen when members post models without licence or try pirating sales from models not thiers, they listen when models are placed in wrong category e.g. adult themed or horror and send a polite warning to the member/artist . . not like facebook just remove the item . . they talk to the members . . .Yes sometimes recently they experienced a server problem and downloads and navigation were slow . . . but they kept the site running during these times. For artists looking to sell original work the commission is fair and better than any other sales site . .so I have had 8 year with them and could not be happier
I am quite a big seller on Cults3d and I was a literal nobody struggling 3d artist until Cults3d gave me such a stable platform that I live off of it predominantly now. I love it 💜I have been only for around a year and the only things I don't like is mostly from clients not for the site itself. but is only a small percent. I am mostly a seller but also support a lot of other artists / designers work sometimes buy stuff that I can't make like something more mechanic, functional.more of the 90% of people I have work / deal / being involved are so awesome.And I'll be eternally grateful for it to let me grow, to let my work been known for a lot of people. and also generating an income from it while doing what I love 🙏___The things I would love to improve is.1. have a direct way to share work on Instagram like the way you can do it with other socials2. the payment methods. (more payment options pls )3. the ability to re-order the posts. that would be awesome for example to order them for thematics like 4 designs of Halloween, 4 of funko etc. but I know collections are for this.4. Add a banner wallpaper on your profile like on Facebook or X. that would be awesome 🖤5. improving the size speed load for other countries like Mexico, Argentina, etc.6. more variety in the cover highlighted designer main page. because sometimes I only see the same people. and I know the best designers / sellers should be there but every now and then, it would be awesome to see someone new.7. One app would be amazing but that would be too much 😹. like the steam app it doesn't have to be a full app, just to check messages, notifications, etc.
