Allows their users to steal copyrighted material to sell as their own and refuses to take down the infringing files. Then they allow their users to place a copyright on what is already copyrighted? Um. No, that isn't how it works. Shady at best.
Cults still need to fix the internal better recognition for designers with 100 and more designs, independently if they are guru, Patreon or not. Not all of them decide or have time/resources/sponsorships to spent as Youtubers in the art field. There are many talented artists out there that just prefer to keep a low profile still providing an excellent service. Also, the actual submission system partially penalize the ones that cannot afford a 3D printer in order to provide your "makes" session. That is a feature that penalize freelancers in favor of small/medium companies made of 5 or more workers behind a seller profile. Some customers are developing a really bad mentality that suggest that the designers should provide the printing service. It's impossible. Due to the fact that printers, hardware in general is too variable and expensive. Inflation, different countries and VAT are a reality that they don't want to hear. Delusional people, very toxic.Another fundamental aspect is also to give to the designer the ability to moderate comments from predatory people, uneducated and toxic behaviors only aimed to the so called shit posting.The customer service, recently, it's almost absent. They took too much time on answer at urgent requests. Please, improve it.
I was a seller on the platform, sold about $100 worth of files, tried to payout the money I had earned but they refused to send me the money. Have since removed all my files from the site. Beware any 3D modellers, they will take your money and not pay you.
The owner is a shyster and a thief, the site and his actions frequently contravene UK and EU trade and copyright laws.If you are in the UK and you have fallen foul of this site, contact UK trading standards as they are currently collecting information about this site and how it is ran.Im sure they would like to hear from you.
Cults3d is my go-to 3D print companyThey're my curry pot of flavours and ideas, from completely finished designs, to parts and other basic bits and pieces where you can buy at a cheaper rate than their competitors.I have probably spent the most with Cults, but just shy of five stars. There is room for improvment.
I cannot download anything comfortably and it is impossible to download anything more than 100mb since it just stops midway. My wifi is relativaly fast and works fine with everything else. I can't even download the file I paid for.
