This umbrella is comparable to low-cost options from corner stores, and it's unclear how the prices are justified. The shipping took much longer than expected, I had to cover my own return shipping, and the refund wasn't complete. Feels like a scam.
I love my umbrella. It’s absolutely beautiful. I had to have it replaced. It was a simple process. There were no questions - it was replaced quickly and easily. The life time warranty makes me feel this is an exceptional product. I will keep buying them!
I purchased the Solo with the Mini. The Mini fits perfectly in my jacket pocket, it's just the right size coverage for me, and it looks sturdy for its size. Moreover, the Solo is a perfect work of art and engineering - It looks luxurious and feels extremely sturdy. The only reason that I did not give 5 stars is that the Solo's handle is a bit uncomfortable due to the clip. May I suggest a removable clip or a cushioned cover be added around the handle and clip that can be pulled up and down for comfort in the future. Nevertheless, I am pleased with the purchase of my Solo umbrella.
Nice umbrellas and shipped quickly though they’re pricey and expensive if you need to return. I was surprised at the weight of the Solo - to return it and the Commuter that came in a set with it cost me nearly $20. They don’t provide return labels.
Have owned several Davek umbrellas over the years and although they are not inexpensive, they always work and survive even the strongest winds. In other words, they are worth the money if you want an excellent umbrella. I particularly appreciate their travel unit wich combines incredible compactness with protection from rain.
