I have serious problems with there billing. I told them to disconnect my service . They continued to bill me for 6 mo. I had sent their equipment back. They were not getting paid but they said I was using there services, Now they are demanding I pay $275.00. Where can I get help resolving this problem?

I subscribed to TDS Telecom’s internet service at my home and the experience has been horrible. In the residential neighborhood I lived in North Fort Collins, Colorado the internet service provider options were very limited. I unfortunately selected TDS Telcom. 1.-The service is not as advertised. Its far slower internet speeds then they claim. 2.-The service is unreliable. I was calling at least twice a month with outages while trying to work from home. When you call for service or repair they have no idea what is going on with their own network and simply read from a script and have no clue when it will be repaired. 3.- When you terminate their service and return their leased equipment, they lose the equipment you returned and claim you owe them for leased equipment valued at $465. Calls to customer service and customer service management get you nowhere and resolve nothing. AND after 7 months of begging and pleading for resolution through their mismanagement and incompetence they send it to collections and damage your credit. DO NOT subscribe to any TDS Telecom service in any city ever. Buyer Beware !!!
TDS is the only high speed provider in our area. Centurylink is here but slow. We are retired and on SS. Paying $107 a month. I made several attempts to talk with them to find some kind of a discount to no avail. When we started service was down several times but, has been good lately. We changed to T-Mobile Wireless and dropped the price in half and it's great. Running 2 tvs, game station, computer and 2 phones. Didn't want to change.
TDS somehow manages to be unreliable, unhelpful, and technologically behind all at the same time. Their service drops constantly, their customer support feels completely disconnected from reality, and their online platform looks and functions like it hasn’t been updated since the early 2000s. Nothing works the way it should, and getting help is a full-time job. The employees are extremely rude. I can only imagine how much they hate their job/life having to work for such a horrible corporation. If frustration were a product, TDS would be industry-leading.
So TDS is about the only server in my area. I've been with them for years. My bill slowly rises every month even though it's supposed to be the same for 2 years. Their email sucks! I have issues with their email server settings ALL THE TIME. I think I'm going to look into switching finally as it's so frustrating dealing with them.
I called in Dec 4 to complain about the pricing for my internet, phone and TV service. We have account that total a $350 per month. The service rep kindly offered a discount. I appreciated that. She stated that the discount will be active on next bill at 12/20. I received my bills today and no discount. I called into complain, and spoke to a customer service representative. She said that the discount was activate on the next billing cycle. I tried to explain to her that this is not was TDS committed to earlier. She was insisting I was wrong. I asked to speak to a supervisor to escalate the matter. After 45 minutes on hold, we gave up. I was promised a call back. Unfortunately, can not recommend TDS. TDS does not live up to their customer commitments.
