Equipment good - customer service less so

Picked Deege back in August 2022 as they had good reviews and good feedback from Facebook solar group users.The quote was good, and Pete the sales manager was helpful.After that it all went a bit sideways. Starting with lots of wrong quotes/contracts (my father was also having an install and Deege reference their jobs by first half of postcode and surname - which is the same for us both), then install delays.The communication was poor, with calls on the expected install day around mid-day to confirm the trades weren't coming (who'd have guessed? ;o) ). Amy in the admin/scheduling team was always very nice to deal with, but Deege were impossible to reach on the phone so I was in the dark until they called me.Install was completed over a couple of days in early March and is all working OK, but I've since found out from Givenergy that I need a canopy over the kit (not advised by Deege) and that the install is missing the earth tie between the inverter & battery, and there should be warning stickers on the AC switch gear (doesn't bother me, but it's supposed to be there)I've had no handover pack, and have chased a number of times for DNO notification and electrical certificates.The MCS one arrived a couple of days ago but the generation amount is wrong as Deege couldn't install all the panels from the quote as they didn't fit the roof...I'm not sure what actual kWp is as I supposedly now have 10 x 410W panels, but 2 aren't the same visibly so I think I have 8 and 2 smaller. Again, with no paperwork from Deege I have no idea!I'm sure that Deege are victims of their own success along with beneficiaries of the energy crisis, but they need to sort their back-office out before taking on too many more jobs. A few phone calls to keep people in the loop goes a long way to making them feel reassured about the work.Finally - be wary of the dubious positive reviews here. Go and check Yell.com - the last 5-6 reviews appear there word-for-word... seems a bit suss and smells of Deege trying to 5-star wash away the recent negatives!Oh - and if you DO need to speak to Deege, be sure they will call you repeatedly for payment (before the trades have even left site). I'd suggest holding some back to get all your documents in order. I wish I had!

Fantastic Experience

Fantastic Experience, would happily recommend and already have done to my brother. I found deege through social media and was a little apprehensive. However from our initial contact through to installation they were professional and responsive throughout. A little mention to Rod for his time and patience when designing the system and Mick and his team for the quality installation.

Deege Solar for me is the company to go with

From the start the communication was excellent was in contact with Chloe the whole time she’s polite professional and so helpful massive thanks to Chloe your a star I was only moved once due to the weather other then that it was all smooth sailing from there equipment was delivered then the next day fitters arrived first thing and started my install with no problems 13 JA solar panels with Tigos installed a Growatt electrical system and an Eddie installed Magnificent work carried out couldn’t be happier If your looking for solar Deege solar is the one to choose

Avoid, avoid, avoid!!

Honestly, I have never known such bad customer service. This company has clearly struggled with the epic demand for Solar given the ongoing energy crisis, but that is no excuse for taking on customers and consistently letting them down. Sincere advice is to avoid at all costs! Initial quotation and contract experience by Rod was fantastic, excellent communicator and advisor. Sadly that is where the positives end for this company.Contract agreed and signed in June 2022 then came the delays/excuses/out right ignored. Installation delayed multiple times, often Deege didn’t even bother to tell me. I would call them on the day of agreed install (as no one would arrive) to be told “yeah sorry, the installers aren’t coming”. The admin team are beyond useless, seriously you need to hire some competent staff. When the install did take place, what an utter joke of a service!! Arguably dangerous wiring, cables taped to downpipes!? Holes left in walls and messy cable runs. 3 months on of remedial work, and further no-shows of engineers/installers the system is finally in and working. Even after all the dramas do you think there is even an acknowledgment of bad customer service? No. A further 2 months chasing MCS certification etc. Honestly, if you choose this company you will spend hours chasing them with phone calls and emails to which they won’t reply unless of course asking for payment…you will sacrifice multiple days off work waiting for installers that never arrive. Be warned. Don’t fall for the glossy website and social media posts/reviews like I and so many others have…

Iv just had a 16kwh system installed with a 6.5 kWh grow watt battery storage and I’m best pleased with the company communication and the installation it’s self a massive thanks to the installers very professional. All done to a high standard would recommend
