I had a terrible experience with Depop’s customer service as a seller. There appears to be almost no support for sellers—only for buyers, including those acting fraudulently.I sold a dress for $515, and because I forgot to provide a tracking number within five days (which is entirely my oversight for not reading the terms carefully), the buyer was fully refunded. I responded to Depop’s email just one hour past the 48-hour timeframe to provide proof that the dress had been delivered. Despite this, Depop refused to reopen the case or reassess the refund.Depop suggested I try to resolve the issue directly with the buyer, but the buyer had already blocked me, obviously keeping both the dress and the refund. Depop refused to intervene, effectively supporting fraudulent behavior.This all happened within one week of the buyer purchasing my item. As a seller, I felt completely abandoned and unprotected. If you are selling on Depop, be aware that the platform’s policies heavily favor buyers, and you do not receive any support in disputes—even when you have proof of delivery.
I’m glad that I’ve got a refund! The seller didn’t ship the item, and I didn’t know if I will ever get a refund( more after I was reading many reviews about this) but the Depop team answered immediately my email, and in 2 days they issued the refund!
