Sorry to say that I ended up unsubscribing to the service on a monthly basis as my uncle told me that ChatGPT could do the basic necessities of what I needed to create a logo. Your UI was pretty easy to navigate at first, but it just didn’t make the process of saving an image file simple. Thanks for being a sponsored link on Google. That’s how I found you. I hope you guys can incorporate more AI in the future.
I created a logo, then was informed that to use it I must pay a fee to use now or for year. Then it subscribes you for a a year which proceeds to recommend multiple services at additional fee. " Free" is not free. When I couldn't download the logo after paying $60.00. I contacted the site to request a refund and cancel the subscription. I was told "per the policy no refunds are given. As the logo information can be accessed mediately after paying." I explained that if I had been able to access it I would not be requesting a refund. If the software is this confusing to use (simply downloading the logo) then any of the additional options they provide will be of no use to me. I just wanted to create a logo "free" for my new company. Now I'm out $60 and still don't have access to the logo I created on the site. Read the small print, and have a person available to help you with any questions. The company is out of Australia and no personal access
The Design.com website is very sleek at first glance - however, there is limited detail provided while navigating the site. My intention was to purchase a logo. At checkout, there were 2 options & I mistakenly selected the option that included "website" not realizing this meant a website builder. Being brand new to all this, I thought this meant I could use my logo on the website I intended to build with another (yet to be selected) provider. As I now had purchased a website builder, I went to work, linking the domain I had purchased & creating my landing page. Design.com offers "professional website building support" at a cost of $43/mo or $120/yr and I inquired what this entails. I was sent an email from Support with some examples of websites - I was glad I hadn't signed up for the pro services or wasted my money. They were glorified landing pages, something I easily could have created myself. There is no navigation, no subpages, no structure for services, no blog, no contact forms, bookings, etc. I have requested a partial refund for the website portion of my purchase, but have not heard back from the company yet. Other providers, like Squarespace, offer a free 14 day trial for their service and offer all of the above. This is all new to me, so it is part of the learning curve. If you are simply looking for a logo, they offer some great stuff. If you just need a landing page - the value is probably there. If you are looking for something scaleable - definitely look elsewhere.UPDATE: Not sure if this review was seen, but my requested refund has been responded to and granted, so I am satisfied. If you are a novice, like me, I suggest slowing down. I've made a few mistakes this past week and a platform like Squarespace offers EVERYTHING I required - I wish I would have know that a week ago (domain, website, bookings, payments, logos, etc).
