Review Time
We booked with The Walt Disney Travel Company for two nights at Disneyland Paris. I was a bit unsure after reading mixed reviews, but we had a positive experience with them.
The communication was good and we had constant updates regarding our balance. The magic passes were loaded automatically onto our Disneyland Paris app and everything ran smoothly.
I had to contact their customer services before we travelled to ask for some special requests and they were friendly and everything I asked for was in place for us to visit.

I wanted to share my experience to warn others against booking with the Walt Disney Travel Company for Disneyland Paris.I booked our holiday back in January for 4 adults and 1 child, choosing Sequoia Lodge specifically because of the pool facilities for my nephew. A few months later, I received a notification that the pool would be closed for renovations for half of our stay. There was no reimbursement or compensation offered — despite the fact we paid a premium for a hotel with a pool. We were also told we can’t use any other pool on site.Next came the Eurostar booking nightmare. Because I booked through WDTC, I have two separate booking numbers for our two rooms, meaning we’re not guaranteed to sit together and can’t even select seats until three months before travel. If I’d booked directly with Eurostar, I could’ve chosen seats straight away — and to make matters worse, WDTC charged around £500 more than Eurostar’s direct price. Finally, I discovered another huge disadvantage: people who booked directly with Disneyland Paris have already been able to reserve space for the fireworks, but when I called WDTC to add this to my package, I was told that because I booked through them, I have to wait until seven days before our trip and basically hope that someone cancels.I genuinely thought that by booking with Walt Disney, I was booking directly — but clearly not. Everything about this process has left us at a disadvantage compared to those who booked direct. If you’re planning a trip to Disneyland Paris, do not book through the Walt Disney Travel Company. Book directly with Disneyland Paris or Eurostar instead — it will save you money, stress, and disappointment.
I had the most amazing paitent lady called Rowena help me book my holiday to Disney land Paris. Im sure many would have hung up. My signal was so bad but she stayed with me as I had to keep moving about and repeat myself so many times. I cant thank her enough for her help and calmness. Im sorry I didn't do your survey as I just hung up when it came through. I would give you 5 for everything and 100 for going over and above to get me booked. Thank you so much.
It went well booking it, planning the hotel and flight was a good experience and made easy, once I paid - the flight was changed 8 times and resulted in flying the day after planned stuck in a airport lounge for 9 hours with no Disney hotel refund even though I was not there to enjoy it. WDTC say it's the airline's fault; the airline says that 12 hours is reasonable and your only option is to cancel the flight but this is with a months notice of changes. The air flight was also delayed aswell, and return flights were cancelled, I was left at the airport with nothing nit even a flight home details.Don't book your flights with Walt Disney. Do not book your flights with JetBlue. Book your own flights so you can control them, and when they go wrong, you can sort them out.Walt Disney didn't communicate with the airline, so they had no details about me. They didn't even link my park tickets. If I had been with any airline other than JetBlue, I would have been able to return to the UK that day, they had lots of flights and if they had not, they would of made sure I was ok while I was stranded.I am currently in the USA, and I hope to get back soon. Thankfully, I have money for hotels.
Terrible customer service. I would never book again. I booked a stay, and extended it. I paid over £650 for the extra night, but what they didn't tell me is they treated it as a new booking and I lost my £140 gift card to spend at the resort. Total disconnect between hotel and WDTC. Spent hours in resort trying to fix the problems with my booking because they think I have two children with the same name so my food pass doesn't work properly. Still no photo pass. Looking for help to return on earlier train. Customer service non existent. They have not helped atall and no professional help or giving back the gift card that my little boy here would have. I spent 50 minutes on the phone yesterday. Numerous hours wasted in resort. Still here and trying to resolve.
Amazing hotels, great after sales service and nothing seemed too much trouble for our (very unique) booking.Have stayed on Disney property in the US dozens of times and sure, sometimes there have been challenges, but nothing that Disney Holidays have ever not been able and willing to sort.
Having used this company recently I must say that I would never use them again, nor would I recommend them and anyone who wishes to use them be forewarned by their reviews..Our holiday to Disneyland Paris was nothing short of an expensive nightmare and I would have sooner burned the money in my firepit rather than give it to this company. We booked a 3 night 4 day trip to disneyland paris and the Dining plan half board plus option and due to discrepancies had to end up paying an extra £300 for food. They took our meals without consent from out dining plan to pay for the character dining experience which we thought we had paid upfront. What we actually paid upfront was a deposit but this was not advertised anywhere neither was it on any of our receipts, just the fact that we had paid x amount for the character dining plan showed on the receipts. It turns out that the character dining is £125 per person which is an absolute rip off considering your paying for a buffet style meal that you can get for £40pp in any other restaurant in the park.On top of this when booking we were advised that 1 ride was closed (big thunder mountain)We booked a year in advance and in that time closures of other rides had been planned without notifying us. Also they decided to start works on virtually everything within the parks and village therefore the entire place was a building site.Considering we paid full price for this trip and non of this was relayed to us at any point were wanted some compensation. No compensation whatsoever is offered and apparently they are within their right to do this when they feel fit. This is absolutely disgusting and the magic of this place truly has gone and replaced with grab your money and run and they do not give a damn about your experience providing they have their money.Save yourself the hassle and disappointment and book alton towers or thorpe park for less than half the cost
We were due to fly on 23.02.25 with an autistic 5yr old, and an adult with MS, we missed our flight due to a fatel road traffic accident, it took us 3hrs to get 15mins from home traffic was grid locked, our flight was 7pm and at 6pm we were still 2 to 3 hours or more from airport. We decided to return the 15min journey home as it was a Sunday travel agent wasn't open, airport was no help. Once got through to Disney 1st think Monday morning we were told we were a no show they cancelled our whole itinerary and we lost 3k through no fault of our own. No empathy towards autistic child in distress, and the adult with MS due to stress had a relapse. No empathy no help no support Disney is a disgrace. We were told not our policy repeatedly and told to pay for one way flights on 24.02.25 and hope hotel will accommodate and they couldn't speak to hotel their partner company as not policy. We only could afford this holiday due to gifted money in a will.
I booked to go to Walt Disney World Florida through a (non-Disney) travel agent last year and had absolutely the best experience - couldn’t have had better, everything was Magical. When I came home, I decided to book Disneyland Paris through WDTC, expecting a similar experience. I couldn’t have been more wrong. They’re difficult to get hold of for a start - no matter which number you phone you’re always on the wrong line and the person on the other side can’t transfer you. They also apparently can’t do anything over email - but if you phone with a complaint, that has to be done over email..When I did eventually get in touch with them, I got repeated misinformation. I don’t know if it’s incompetency or if they just change their mind with the weather but every time I rang with the same questions I’d get a different answer. We booked our package with a free shuttle crossing. I asked if it mattered that some of our party wanted the shuttle and some wanted to fly - I was told it didn’t matter. Luckily I got paranoid and asked again a few months later and was told it did matter - as I was the lead passenger, nobody could go if I wasn’t on the shuttle. I asked if I could change the lead passenger, they said no. On the website it said I could, so I phoned again and they said yes you can change the passenger, just email us the details and get the new lead to phone us. I did that, and was then told I could only change the lead if I was no longer travelling. They kept telling me I could cancel the shuttle for free. So eventually I rang to ask them to do that, and they said there might be a charge! Thankfully they didn’t charge me to cancel, but I have now had to spend £200 on a new shuttle booking. We booked the center parcs accommodation through Disney and was told we’d get free park transfers, extra magic time and a photo pass. After some more googling it seemed only the magic time was true. It took writing a complaint to confirm that we don’t get transfers or photo passes. I’ve also been trying to add a birthday dessert to my character meal, I’ve been told ‘we can’t do that online’ ‘we can’t do that after you’ve made the booking’ ‘we can’t do that by email’ but funnily enough when I made a complaint they told me that If I shared my credit card details they could add it on. It’s only a cake - how hard can it be?!Finally after all that it appears that half of the park is closed and the rest is covered in scaffolding and yet I’m still paying full price for access. Honestly, I’m so disappointed. This has felt far from magical, far from Disney. I keep trying to complain but they keep ringing me to tell me I’m wrong or that ‘I can cancel the holiday if I want to’ - what kind of resolution is that?! Like I’m going to cancel when I have family and a toddler excited to go! There’s no customer service, there’s no attempt to smooth things over, I’m just left with an expensive holiday and a bitter taste in my mouth. I cannot recommend booking with WDTC or going to Disneyland Paris, they’re almost like a completely different company entirely. Save your money and go to Florida, and book through a third party!!
