Review Time
Ordered this as a treat for my partner. He is a big fan of our local cake store, however they are around five pounds a slice and the shop isn’t open that often. So when I saw these advertised I decided to take a punt and order the six slice box. You can choose and mix and match what flavours you’d like. I chose five slices of cookie pie and one piece of rocky road, all different flavours.The outside packaging was quite pretty however I was really not keen on the plastic bags (with ingredients printed on) holding the slices inside the box. You could not present them like this as a gift which is a real shame, and I feel it made them look very mass produced.The flavours were great and there is definitely a lot more variety with dough girl than in our local shop. The cookie pie slices were slightly smaller than what we are used to, however the slice of rocky road was ginormous- definitely try those if you want value for money! I would definitely order again.
Absolutely useless and waste of time ordering wouldn't bother with the company. Ordered a ahead of time said could be delivered on requested day. Requested delivery on the Thursday. Said shipped Monday assumed would arrive Wednesday evening as was 24-48hour postage. Still no tracking on the Wednesday morning so contacted them and they said it was a glitch in their system and were posting it on the Thursday morning that requested it to be delivered. Customer services weren't very helpful either. Go somewhere else
Absolutely fantastic experience, from the team here, a little thankyou for ordering, then a date and time they would deliver, they came exactly on time, superbly packed, and exactly what I ordered, so I'd definitely recommend you try for yourselves, you will not be disappointed, thank you Doughgirl team I'm so delighted with what I ordered. 😍😋
I received a package today from this company, having not ordered from them, so was quite surprised. When I opened it up and looked at the cake, it looked awful. I took one mouthful of one of the pieces (not knowing what it was) and it was vile. I opened another, which looked like cookie dough. The biscuit was soft. The whole experience was a disappointment really. The only place fit for these slices of cake are in the bin! I wouldn't even give my dog (if he was allowed) a piece of this!
Products look nice in pictures and I thought would be a nice present… but I didn’t order as so many items were out of stock… 9 out of the 21 cookies and 18 out of the 35 (over half) of the cookie pie slices were out of stock and unbelievably ALL of the rocky road slices were out of stock - so many of items I would have ordered were not available. Really no point running a 3 for £11 offer on rocky road slices if you can’t actually buy any of them! Also had an email to say selection boxes of cookie pie slices were on offer at £18, but by time I added postage of £3.99 they were actually cheaper at the original full price of £21, where postage would be free!!! Not the sort of offer I would take up - paying £1 more for something that is supposedly on offer! Check this site out and think about your order before committing!
