Review Time
Absolutely awful, ordered on a weekend thinking I was going to be sent freshly made food, Monday morning i get a dispatch email that they've dispatched bakes that were made on Friday and left sat the entire weekend before even being dispatched. I then didnt recieve them until gone 4pm on Tuesday. When I opened them they apparently had 2-3 days best before date but opened one up straight away to try and it was already stale. Whatever the cream stuff was on top you could see the oil/butter in it breaking down and dripping, no ice packs in the box so the bakes had been sat around a DPD warehouse for well over 30 hours in temperatures of over 20 degrees. Not sure why they are still baking stuff on a Friday to then leave it sat around because they dont dispatch on weekends, this is already 2/3 days gone and then a 3rd-4th day gone when not dispatching until Monday, by the time the customer recieves their order thats 4/5 days gone already, should stop baking on a Thursday and then resume baking on a Monday not leaving food sat around wasting if not going to dispatch it fresh. Would not order again there are much better and fresher places in the UK and believe me i have tried a lot. This would come in at about 85th out of 100 (100 being the worst). Dont waste your money.
I ordered something from here for my daughter to be delivered to her house for a surprise for her 18th birthday, all of a sudden the delivery was sent to a post office for collection. I don't live near her so I had to then ask her to go and collect from a post office not even that close to her. I felt I really let her down. There was no sympathy or reason this company can give to a reason why they got the delivery wrong, personally from the response and them passing blame to the delivery company I would not buy from here again which is a shame as my daughter said it was really good. However it could be the most amazing product but with the lack of empathy and sending me a code for discount that anyone could get if they were to just sign up. I actually emailed the owner directly but all he did was forward my email and didn't want to take ownership here that a customer of his had felt really let down. This speaks alot for the company as for me customer is key.
Ordered a box of 6 cookie slices for my son's birthday on 22nd July. Had confirmation email to say estimated delivery was between 24th - 28th July. I needed them for 25th but didn't want to order them to early and thought this would be ok when it states when ordering them they are dispatched within 48hrs. I emailed them late on 23rd because I hadn't had a dispatch email and explained they were for my son's birthday, they replied on 24th and said they were with the picking team and currently all in stock which I would expect as I ordered when all items I wanted were in stock. I replied and asked them if I they could be dispatched that day as wanted them for my son's birthday and pointed out the estimated delivery was incorrect from 24th as they hadn't even been dispatched. They replied again to say they were with their picking team and would be dispatched shortly. I replied again to ask if they were even going to dispatched that day and had no further replies. On the morning of my sons birthday 25th still no reply or dispatch email so I emailed again to cancel my order and they simply replied to say it had been cancelled and my order refunded. The responses were slow and robotic which no care they were for a celebration. So disappointing! I would not recommend this company at all!
Mine came completely smashed and melted no ice block and poorly packaged. They were for a birthday gift -which I was not able to gift due to the state of them! I reached out to the company and all they offered was 20% of my next order, very disappointing! Would not recommend.
So first of all, I purchased a box of six cookies I was disappointed to see that they didn't come in the nice pink box that was advertised so I didn't feel it looked gift worthy, It just came in a plain box, overall they were decent. I do have to say that the ones with fillings didn't have enough to really taste, especially the lemon and white chocolate. I just thought they could have added more lemon curd and maybe a sharper lemon curd to counter the sweetness of the cookie, I do have to admit I thought these would be better for the price. I definitely think that they are tasty, but I don't really see myself ordering them again.
I don’t often write reviews but I felt this was warranted. With baking being an in thing at the moment and social media platforms going mad advertising, it’s all slightly overwhelming on who to choose for your sweet treats. I love cookies and cookie dough, so decided to go with a cookie pie from dough girl. Wow. These are absolutely sublime. They arrived beautifully packaged within 2 days and I’ve literally eaten them all. I ordered a box of 6 for 20 quid and I have to say was worth every single penny. Made really well. Each slice had a home made comfort to it and they didn’t taste like this commercial and branded stuff you get in supermarkets. Not sure on the scale of the business, but I really thoroughly enjoyed all of them and I hope they do well. I ordered 5 varieties, including 2 milky bar, 1 pecan, 1 white kinder bueno, 1 Oreo, but 1 caramel chocolate was the absolute best. Thanks Dough Girl ❤️
Absolutely delicious! And good customer service, i had ordered a full cookie pie for my sons birthday and it arrived broken and smashed, they immediately replied to my emails were very apologetic and are sending me a new cookie pie! I have ordered regularly from this company and can’t fault it! Fantastic for a sweet treat, my kids love it too!
OMG! I received my very first order yesterday, I ordered 6 different flavour's of the cookie pie slices! I tried the S’mores and all I can say is “WOW Divine” these are the Best ones I have ever tried and I’ve ordered from many bakeries online which I’ve discovered on Instagram but only found Dough girl last week! I will definitely be ordering again and I would Highly recommend them!
