Review Time
I'm saddened to have to write a negative review, it's not something I do very often however the quality of these cookies pies has left me no choice. I ordered a box of 6, I thought they were good value at £20 and free delivery. Packaging was lovely, although states next day (ordered Sunday so expected Tuesday), it wasn't delivered until Wednesday. Not really an issue but I thought as I'm giving a review, it's something to note. Upon arrival it was noticeable that each of the 6 slices were different sizes (more filling). I will say the custard cream cookie pie was the best by a mile. Then there was a Nutella one which was okay but even just one bite felt like eating a whole jar of it. The rest (snickers, twix, caramel, rolo) were all pretty bad. The filling tasted really cheap and ridiculously sweet. If I'd picked something like that from a supermarket I'd be asking for my money back. Disappointing as this is meant to be from an actual bakery. I'm shocked that they've had good reviews. Maybe the cookies are nice? However I won't be placing any further orders. I apologise for this review, but felt I had no choice.
The DoughGirl customer service team are cold and take no responsibility for their awful service and terrible delivery team. I placed an order over a week ago with next day delivery. My order was delayed twice and eventually 'lost in transit‘. Over the course of the week the customer service team provided no help. They were dismissive and didn’t show any empathy, only briefly apologizing once the delivery ended up being lost. They may not be in charge of the delivery company, but they are responsible for their product not arriving, yet their emails were cold and passive.
Well these were interesting. Beautifully packaged, some very sweet but others very nice. Even tried heating one. I would recommend eating over a couple of sittings. Only downfall is there's no free postage to NI 😕 but I suppose you can't have it all. I have been looking at cookies but they don't have jammie dodger ones like they do with cookie pie slices. Maybe one to try Doughgirl 😜. Good experience all round except for royal mail as it wasn't our normal postie 🙈
⭐ 1/5 starsWe bought a few cookie cakes for my son’s birthday, including the Dubai one with hazelnuts and Ferrero Rocher flavour. Unfortunately, it was way too sweet — honestly hard to eat. It felt more like pure sugar than cake. Really disappointed, especially for the price. Wouldn’t buy again.
Ordered a selection of slices due your delivery Thursday didn’t get them till Saturday as it was marked as not able to delivery because the driver couldn’t park and walk 7 doors down. When I contact customer services because I was under the impression that the items I ordered were fresh and concerned that they weren’t delivered I was then told that they were at my local post office to collect on Friday but I went there and they weren’t there at all until midday Saturday. The items aren’t ‘fresh’ at all I was told they could last upto 2weeks from dispatch. I now have the cookie pies and the taste is awful don’t waste your money. They never even replied when I emailed back saying my parcel wasn’t there. Customer service is awful
All the bad reviews are from old people who expected bread and butter pudding level flavour, the cookie pie is unreal, the triple chocolate one with whipped cream on top is in my top 5 deserts ive ever had, would recommend again
