After a flight delay of over an hour I was late to pick up car , they told me they had rented my car to someone else and didn’t have similar only an upgrade of over £300 which I declined, I rented with another company and still have no refund for a car I never used because I paid in advance, I call this theft
I booked, I paid with enhanced insurance. I had to walk to the pick up location which took 25 minutes because their shuttle bus number was unanswered for over 30 mins. On arrival, they wouldn’t let me have the car unless I paid £600 more than the £100 rental charge because I didn’t have a credit card to leave a £1500 deposit which was not mentioned during booking! They wouldn’t give me a refund! So I’ve lost £160 to these crooks! Don’t book! Nightmare! My wife has a physical disability and it took 4 hours standing on packed trains and taking Ubers to get home! Now we’re car-less for 9 days!
Similar experience to other customers' reviews. I was charged 575 pounds for two minor scuffs to two alloy wheels which I did not cause. The car was collected when it was dark so it would have been impossibile to view these scuffs. I contested the damage but was told to complain using the company's site which I have done. Do not use this company! I have another booking with Drivalia at the end of the month which I will obviously cancel. The response from Drivalia clearly indicates that they did not read my complaint - I clearly stated that I had already raised my complaint on their website.
