Got charged a lot more than the quote

Got charged a lot more than the quote. I know this is usual with rental companies by the time they add on insurance etc but was more than double. I was heading to a funeral so didn’t challenge it at the time. Also when I dropped the car back the man on reception at the Gatwick branch was very sarcastic.
