I am an Ebay seller in the UK, i posted an item by signed for and tracked Royal Mail service to Naples on 28th November, it left the UK on 29th November, meanwhile the buyer has opened a dispute, eventually after having nothing but negative comments from Ebay Italy i had to refund the buyer, now on the 27th December the item has arrived28-11-2016 11:39:00 Presa in carico all'estero GRAN BRETAGNA29-11-2016 05:12:00 Partito dal Centro Scambi Internazionale GRAN BRETAGNA22-12-2016 11:34:44 In lavorazione presso il Centro Operativo Postale PESCHIERA BORROMEO MI23-12-2016 12:11:51 In lavorazione presso il Centro Operativo Postale NAPOLI NA27-12-2016 06:30:28 In lavorazione presso il Centro Operativo Postale NAPOLI NA27-12-2016 12:35:22 In consegna NAPOLI NA27-12-2016 13:00:00 Consegnata NAPOLI NAFortuately the buyer has agreed to pay, but Ebay It customer and the Italian postal service was a total waste of space, i am now removing Italy as a country i post to from all of my listings like many other Ebay sellers in the UK.
eBay sellers fees are far to much you have pay to sell your item on then wait make sure person happy with your item then get bill for fees on wot ever your items sells for 10% they take fees on posting shipping costs 10% then wot ever money you have left there's PayPal eBay " take fees for you lifting your money , wot happens to all the interest they make from your money as well . eBay is great for buyers dreadful for seller I no ill will be stopping selling on eBay all sellers should do this , it's not fair why is this not this on news etc about this we should all start talking about this I'll bet they make millions from UK people and don't even pay taxes on wot they make from UK people, more people need to help

Ebay are charging sellers 10% of the postage cost buyers pay - ebay customer service have said it is because buyers were complaining about postage costs, so they are taking the money to encourage sellers to charge free postage.
Ebay you are taking the buyers postage costs, so how is that fair on the buyer or seller.
I am sure that is not lawful, its stealing from both the buyer and seller, obtaining money under false pretence surely.
Any items sold sellers are charged 10% for everything - when was this sneaked in.
Ebay just one big rip off so BEWARE
Charge you stupid amounts, let's Chinese companies sell fake and dangerous goods, customer service is terrible!!!! 1 star isn't low enough!!! Their sister company PayPal then charge you again? Even though they are both linked! DOUBLE RIP OFF!!! Plus took longer than two months to let customers know they were hacked!!!! And only then three days after it was announced on the news!!!!
Be very careful when you use Ebay. Their so-called customer support is completely useless if they have a bad day (I suspect they have many bad days...). Once you have submitted a claim they do not like, they seem to have the right to accuse you for anything, not telling you what kind of "offences" you have commited. Their semiautomatic mail-answering system needed several mails just to understand the issue I had (even though I explained it ifrom the very beginning), which was a bad start of the problem solving in the first place. I spent months on finding out what the problem really was before - under pressure (and the excellent help) from PayPal - a "supervisor" was willing to come up with any real information of their so-called "concerns". I personally talked with about 7 helpful PayPal people and know they also spent many hours and many telephone talks with me and Ebay trying to solve the issue with Ebay - which was of course impossible as Ebay actually has no interest in playing with open cards. If I were PayPal I would be seriiously PISSED by this way of treatment from a business partner (PayPal never told me, but between the lines I had the very strong feeling PayPal actually were pissed too when I talked to them due to the totally arrogant behaviour of Ebay).
They have no problems spending months of YOUR time (and PayPal's time) on a case you do not know the full content of, and their responses to your emails that you send the so-called "resolution center" is answering completely different issues, or at the best, arrogant and meaningless "answers" to your messages. It does not seem they really read what is written to them. And all the mailing you have to go through before they seem to understand the message ends up to be "suspicious" itself. - and just another reason to be even more arrogant from their side. They promise to call you but never do either.
In the end I got the refund I claimed - with the help of PayPal that turned out to be no problem for the company that refunded the money. So actually I must have had an good case from the beginning. Which Ebay also would have understood if they only had a decent customer service.
Ebay is probably so powerfull they can behave like this for a long time. Just as the Roman Empire (understand me right)......
USE ANOTHER SITE IF POSSIBLE - BE CAREFUL IF YOU HAVE TO USE THEM!
We are selling on eBay almost 4 years and had a lot of scam transactions with ebay buyers and lost around $2000 in 2013. NEITHER EBAY NOR PAYPAL DIDN'T PROTECT US AS THEY STATE ON THE AD. Every time we called eBay or Paypal it felt like we talked with the robots. All they can do is to follow eBay or Paypal guidelines.
Both companies generate BILLIONS OF DOLLARS IN NET INCOME (CHECK IT OUT AT WIKIPEDIA.COM)
Last year we paid $15000 in eBay and $3000 in Paypal fees. It is ridiculous to pay $18000 in fees for companies that don't provide real service.
Now we are moving to Square and eBid.
I use to like selling on eBay but it seems to me that they are more for the buyers then their sellers they should be for both,
I sold an item to a buyer the person email me saying he loved his item then turn right around asking for a full refund were eBay owns PayPal eBay held my money in my PayPal account then side with the buyer.
I told eBay to check the message in their system because that is how the customer contacted me.
I say they never did checked I never heard back from eBay they got to keep their money and my item I know times is hard and some people just want free stuff but that is called stilling and eBay is behind them.
