This company is a scam. They will do anything possible not to refund your claim. They request documents after documents from both you and the provider. Its been 3 months and still asking us for my documents. Our dog had a chemical burn and they want to say its a pre-existing condition. They had no issues taking our monthly payments. Run dont use this company.

After two years of paying premiums for 2 dogs, one had an issue that treatment total was about $100 over deductible. Even for this amount all I got was delays and Embrace looking for way not to pay claims. My advice is stay away from Embrace.

Prior to taking out a 70% coverage policy on my dog a spoke to customer service to ask if my Labrador would be covered for a chipped molar. I was told that dental care is covered . I also inquired about annual booster vaccination coverage and told yes it’s covered. I started the plan in October 2025. In a follow up vet visit I scheduled a tooth extraction for 6 weeks later. I submitted the claim through the app and was told it would take about 30 days to process the claim . I now find out that even though I made embrace aware of this chipped tooth;they now say since it was a pre-condition it’s not covered. Just the exact opposite of what I was told to induce me into providing my credit card for the monthly payments . Now 4 months into the plan I find it’s not covered .

I’ve been paying Embrace insurance while still paying for my pet visits, they won’t settle my first claim or reimbursement anything even after providing information that my vet gave me, that they requested. They claim they need even more information. Looks like a scam, they should be ashamed.
Whoever is considering this insurance shouldn’t consider it unless you like to just pay bills because you will be paying for you pet visits/ procedures while still paying them and won’t be reimbursed at all. They made my pet visit so complicated and undesirable with how many times I had to contact my vet and forward information only to have them say they need more!!!!! Terrible.

They consistently processed claim payments quickly. When I contacted them to remove my home from the policy, I was pleasantly surprised to receive a prorated refund for that month's premium immediately.

Mixed feelings about the service after relocation

We submitted one claim for the three pets we have insured. The claim process was straightforward and reimbursement was prompt. Annual premium increases were as expected. However, after being with the service for six years and moving 150 miles, we faced an 85% premium hike. While I understand that premiums can rise as pets age, this significant increase was solely due to the move. The customer service representative was neither friendly nor rude, but seemed to follow a script, which felt impersonal. We will be looking for quotes from other providers when we get a new pet.

Disappointing Renewal Experience

We had a generally positive experience with the service over the years, but this latest renewal has been a major surprise. While I anticipate reasonable annual increases, my premium nearly doubled—jumping from $250 to almost $600 a month.
What adds to my frustration is that my pet had no claims over the past year. To see such a drastic rate hike without any change in my pet's health or policy usage is unacceptable. At $7,200 a year just in premiums, it is now more practical for me to save that money for vet care rather than continue with this policy.
It's unfortunate because the service started off well, but these shocking renewals make it difficult for loyal customers to remain. If you're seeking long-term affordability, be cautious of the significant increases you may encounter in the future.

I am very happy with Embrace Pet Insurance. We got the insurance about 5 years ago, and didn't really need to use it until this year, and the process to file a claim was really easy.
