I was hit by a driver with Farmer's insurance. They were 100% liable for the accident, so I went through their insurance to fix the damages. What a nightmare!! Customer service should get an F. The adjuster never even called me initially (I had to reach out to them). The adjuster had a nasty attitude. I asked to switch adjusters 4 times, just to work with someone a bit nicer. They never switched me. Even the local car rental place mentioned many customers have problems with Farmer's insurance. Thank god for State Farm and Geico, because their customer service is 10000% better. Also, even though their driver was 100% liable for the accident, they refused to pay for the comprehensive car insurance on the rental car, forcing me to come out of pocket for that. What a nightmare it has been working with them. I will recommend everyone I know to stay away from using Farmer's.
I’ve had farmers over 16 years, no problems. I’ve had a very difficult 2years and wasn’t paying attention to my auto pay, it got returned. It has happened in the past as I was paid daily before and they’d add it to my next pmt. I paid my past due and had to get a new policy, ok, so I called and they “doubled “ my auto insurance, no accidents etc. ( the agent was a little rude too) he said it was because I currently “had no insurance.” I called another agency and got a policy for $120 per year less than my old policy. Goodby good riddance. Don’t waste your time..
Do not get FARMERS insurance, having issue from the time of transition from metlife insurance when they took over metlife. If your time and money valuable to you, do not get FARMERS. Worst customer service including agents. They have customer service from other countries and bad phone services, they promise and they don't take care of the problem. Do not get auto, home, renters, landlord insurance from FARMERS!!!!
Farmers adjusters are teeter tottering on the line of elder abuse. My 77 YO mother in law was often laughed at by the adjuster after her coverable water damage. They had her in tears and then denied her claim even though she paid for the additional water damage coverage. I just got off the phone with a another single senior woman 74 YO who attends our church, she was in tears, as if it wasn’t enough this woman is battling cancer. her adjuster laughed at her as he denied her claim. I will be calling corporate office because this is twice this company has presented amoral responses to their senior customers. I would highly encourage anyone to stay far away from Farmers. Not once but twice in the span of 4 months two different individuals with the same upsetting record of how Farmers treats their senior customers.
So, I was a loyal costumer of Farmers Insurance (5 years) and then they screwed me over, by tying my policy with a complete stranger (who caused my insurance policy to fail). Unfortunately for me I had moved (college student) and the mailing address had change so I did not get the information of my failed insurance policy. I only discovered I didn't have insurance when I got pulled over, which resulted in a $380 fine, and a mark on my driving record.I asked to see if Farmers state would make it right, and to my disgust, I couldn't even get another equal policy because my last policy had fail (due to the complete stranger (that they tied to me) and they wanted to charge me even more.Basically, Farmers state is a scam, and don't just walk away, RUN
Called into Farmers to get an auto insurance quote for my son…The worst experience!!! The agents name was Bobby… he essentially told me I don’t need a quote and I should just put my son under my auto insurance. There are many reasons I was looking at auto insurance quotes for my son and the biggest one is family related issues and this agent continued to tell me I don’t need a quote. Beyond frustrating. I shouldn’t have to explain to Bobby personal family issues just get a quote… which he never provided in the end.
Farmers rendered the best experience we have ever had with insurance. They were responsive, professional and turn around time for everything was immediate. It only took a couple of days to get everything worked out from hail damage to our autos and house. We are beyond pleased with Farmers.

Farmers also donated $100,000 for the city’s emergency operations center and two megawatt generators that restored power to Beaumont.
