The service I received from making the call about one of my gas burners not working to Steve the engineer coming to fix it the following day was excellent. I was impressed that I only had to wait until the following day for the engineer and the communication regarding his location and arrival time was great. Steve was very knowledgeable, friendly and efficient and he fixed the problem quite quickly. I was very impressed from start to finish.
Ordered parts for washing machine in Nov, to be told that they would not be available until January. Then told that the key part would not arrive until March. This is just not acceptable from a supposed premium brand. As my family are from Australia, I ordered the parts there, and they were delivered in 48 hours. As I was travelling to Sydney in January, I brought them back with me. Whilst F&P UK were courteous, they just did not take any responsibility or seemed bothered. Why they could not have done the same and ordered the parts from Australia or NZ is beyond me. I knew F&P well in Australia and bought their products which is why I bought their washing machine here. However when you need service and support, the UK branch were just not there or showed any initiative. When I complained, they wrote back to me, but with another person's name! Sadly I have lost all trust with the brand in the UK and would not buy anything from them again as there is simply no guarantee that they can deliver essential parts. Moreover their customer services just don't take any accountability. I find that F&P are no longer the same after being acquired by the Chinese company Haier.
