Review Time
Service was terrible.
Flexways failed me on the last day of my rental (Reservation #741669517 – Orlando FL, January 18–20, 2026). This was, without a doubt, the worst experience I have ever had with a car rental company.
On January 20 at 6:30 a.m., the vehicle would not start. I had a flight before noon, and customer service was unavailable until 8:00 a.m. I had no choice but to use Uber at my own expense for several hours.
When I finally reached them, I was told that I needed to replace the key battery myself and still return the vehicle to their office on time. Shortly after, another employee warned me that if I did not physically return the car to their office, I would be penalized with charges exceeding $1,000.
I replaced the battery. The vehicle still would not start. The issue was clearly mechanical.
I provided the exact location of the vehicle, returned the key in person, and documented everything. Despite this, I was penalized for not returning a car that was inoperable.
There was no real assistance and no proper solution. Customer service was essentially nonexistent, and the response was to threaten and charge the customer.
I do not recommend this company under any circumstances.
I recently booked a car with Flexways for an upcoming trip to Albania. While the booking process was smooth, I encountered a significant technical glitch where the website displayed the price in RON at checkout, but the voucher was issued in USD at a much higher rate.
However, I am very pleased to say that their support team (Bárbara and Nicolas) took my feedback seriously. After providing screenshots of the discrepancy, they investigated the issue, admitted it was an exchange rate system error, and promptly corrected my reservation.
They issued a revised voucher where the total amount is now fully prepaid, including the cross-border fee, leaving me with USD 0.00 to pay at the counter. I appreciate the professional way they handled this complaint and their commitment to honoring the advertised price.
I am now looking forward to my trip and a smooth pickup at their Tirana Airport office. Based on how they resolved this, I can recommend Flexways for their accountability and customer service.
Exceptional service with excellent communication via messaging around the clock. The vehicle was very dependable, though it did miss some features that one might typically expect, such as a cup holder, cigarette lighter, and cruise control. However, it did come with USB and CarPlay, which was a nice touch.
In Morocco, steer clear of this service. When I attempted to pay the deposit, they claimed my card was not working. I had just successfully used the same two credit cards a week prior for another rental without any issues. Instead, I was forced to pay a fee for a second driver and use a companion's card, significantly raising the rental cost. This feels like a scam.
Awful customer service! The least customer friendly rental car company out there. Their insurance policies are ridiculous. They have very specific loopholes to get you to spend more money. For example, if you already have liability but not collision, they make you purchase both through them at incredibly inflated rates (much more expensive than other rental companies). In addition, the airline screwed up my flight and I ended up having to take a later flight that got me in 3 hours later than originally planned. I contacted Flexway to let them know and they told me there would be a $75 fee if I picked the car up later than the 2 hour grace period from my original pickup time. They lure you into renting from them because they APPEAR to be cheaper but they end up being more expensive and far less convenient than the others. Also, their airport shuttle only runs ONCE AND HOUR. Nothing about them is customer friendly or inexpensive. STAY AWAY.
My rental in Phoenix was a great value. Need to be prepared for a different rental experience as you have to do everything online or, worst case, by text to get the secret code to unlock the lock box when you get to the rental lot. Transportation back and forth from the airport was a no-wait experience on both ends. Their website needs some work as even when you pick English as the language some questions come up in Spanish. As I am currently learning Spanish, was not a big deal. As I had no problems with the car, I did not have to experience the potential lack of customer service if I did. I was definitely "wary" when I read the reviews after I booked but it worked out well for me.
Company required me to pay $12/day in prepaid tolls or be fined an outrageous amount for every toll I went through. I paid $72; I spent less than $12 in actual tolls. But they would not allow any arrangement in which I'd pay actual tolls. Since they are based near the airport, it is difficult to leave without incurring a toll. The car itself: all four tires had lost their tire valve stem caps. One was reading 22 (out of 36) and I had to pay $3/day for air because it would not hold. The car also gave me a low oil warning every time I turned on the car AFTER the first trip. Ditto for tires. In other words: they filled up oil and tires just before my rental, without fixing the problems, so that I'd drive away before discovering the car was not reliable.I needed it solely to transport an electric wheelchair 2 miles from hotel to Universal theme parks so I did not worry too much about the oil. However, I did ask the rental office for a different car because the car was not a hatchback as ordered and neither back seat folded down. They refused, even though that was clearly the type of car I had reserved, saying they had fulfilled the "or similar" part of the rental agreement. They said they had no other car types. To transport the chair I had to take it apart every day. In addition, the shuttle to pick me up at the airport did not arrive for 40 minutes, and there was no answer when I called the number. On the positive side, the car was clean, pickup and drop off were the fastest of any car rental place I have ever used, and the shuttle was large enough to deliver many people to the airport at once.
Yeah, like the other reviews I left about this rental experience, it was a really good experience. Your agents got me on the road promptly, there were zero issues with the car, and your agents got me signed off promptly upon returning the car. The only suggestion I can make is for better signage for your company inside the airport terminal.
