When shopping around for a helicopter tour over New York we decided to pay a premium to have a doors off flight experience at sunset. This cost a lot of money, when we could have gone for cheaper doors on options. FLYNYON did not honor our doors off, sunset booking. Instead we had a doors on flight at night, which is not what we wanted nor paid for. When we questioned this at the desk we were told we were still getting a helicopter ride so they do not understand the issue. The issue was this is not what we had paid for!!! Very unhappy with the experience, especially for the price we had to pay. Also had to wait around for hours before we could have our flight as they changed our time slot without our permission. Would not recommend.
SPAM ——I bought "Buy Now and Schedule Later" tickets as a gift. However, when I attempted to schedule and redeem the tickets, I was charged an additional $518. This charge was not mentioned on their website; they only referred to a "booking fee" and not to paying for the tickets again. I reached out to customer service, but they never replied. DONT BUY WITH THIS COMPANY! They will definitely ruin your experience.
I have had an amazing experience with Flynyon. Initially I was very reluctant for flying with them as i had read the horrible reviews online about them, but only if the customers would work their due diligence they would get subscribed to their newsletter whhich costs some $7 a month and also the people needd to check the weather before booking. I checked the weather before booking and booked on the first day of my trip to new york so that if i had to rexchedule ill have more days to do it. The day of flight was overcast and Flynyon asked me to reschedule thee flight as there were clouds over manhattan but i went through my program, i didnt want to risk my money and the flight went really amazing. I would highly recommended flying with them but work your due diligence before doin that so that you dont have to leave a bad review online.and oh yeah i took one star away because if flynyon had a better refund policy than giving the vouchers then itd be much better for the people/customers.
I've never heard of this company and I've never even been to any of the cities they operate in. Matter fact, I live on the opposite side of the planet. They somehow charged 700$ and 2,200$ to my card. No clue how they managed to pull this off but it doesn't seem surprising after reading the other reviews on here. I hope visa, mastercard and other payment platforms ban them from using their services.
We had a great flight and everything went smoothly. The reason for 1 star is that when making a reservation you are enticed to pick a 70% discount, this disgusting little marketing trick signs you up to a monthly subscription of "NYON SkyClub Membership program" for 5.99 dollars a month. I discovered this 3 months after and they refuse to refund me even though I did not use this subscription service any more. Don't book your flight here.
Some employee on a power trip he has from a job he left 15 years ago literally went into the parking lot and started grabbing items in our car!!! We asked him to stop and he said he can do it because hes an EX state trooper! Its not even legal if you even were an actual state trooper!!! Place cancled us twice now and is extremely unprofessional.
On the day of the flight, flynyon canceled my sunset flight for no reason. After consulting and calling, we got a flight at 6 p.m. Flynyon simply keeps the additional costs for the sunset flight, which is of course also a business model. I can definitely recommend the flight to my friends and family who come here and also take a flight, but not their company. It's a shame about the pilot, he flew us very well and was very courteous. FlyNyon is just a bunch of scammers.They’ll sell you this “shoe-selfie guarantee” on their Doors off flight, but my girlfriend was placed beside a closed door and had to see the flight throug a window. When we come back to complain, this rude little bug behind the desk tells us “its TECHNICALLY a shoe selfie seat, and its a great experience anyway” What a weak answer. We will never recommend this to any one. Its a big scam!
WORST OPERATOR EVER - DO NOT BOOK!!!One point, just because there is no opportunity to select 0. We booked a Flynyon Flight in NY on our last day. We booked with this operated because of the open doors. Due to the weather we could not fly, but that was not the problem. First they let us wait for several hours dressed uo and ready to goy with literally no information when the flight could start. After a few hours they told us they won't be flying that day.We could NOT GET A REFUND, just a silly voucher, even though the flight did cost around 700$. It was our last day and we were not able to fly in the next few months, but they told us we would get the exact same package for the same prize when we would come again.Now we booked a trip to NY again, but Flynyon told us we would have to pay another 750$ extra to get the same flight - that's not what we agreed on.I understand that weather conditions can be bad, but that is no customer service to charge extra money, if they told us we could get the exact same flight later in the year.!!!JUST SO DISAPPOINTING TO SEE HOW THEY TREAT CUSTOMERS WHO PAY HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS!!!
