SCAM!They rescheduled my flight twice — once because of the president’s arrival, and the second time due to “bad weather,” even though the weather was just slightly cloudy, with no rain, and helicopters had been flying all week in the same conditions.That day I had a flight leaving the U.S. When I asked the manager how I could get my money back, they said I can’t. They only offered some credits for another flight. When I told them I’m not planning to return to the U.S., they said it’s not their problem.Terrible company — do not buy tickets from them if you don’t want to get scammed.
FlyNYON was a once in a lifetime experience! So good I got to experience it TWICE! As a photographer, this was such a fun opportunity. Seeing the city from a different perspective, and truly unforgettable. Highly recommend to any photographer, tourist, OR NYC native looking for a fresh view of the city!Sunset flight was my favorite!
After being recommended by a number of friends we booked this but our experience was so different. Incredibly disappointing and not enough is mentioned about being sat alone as ‘co-pilot’. Sitting away from my partner not being able to take photos together. Not being able to enjoy the experience together. It was incredibly upsetting and disappointing, I was visibly upset and crying and I spoke to a man on reception who actually treated me like something on the bottom of his shoe. He could not have cared less. For someone who is looking to do this there should be much more mentioned about this. For someone who was nervous of flying being left alone.We paid to ensure we got the side of the helicopter, so we paid extra and to be treated so poorly by staff and to be left alone and basically experience something what should have been so amazing back to back with my partner was such a disappointing way to celebrate my 30th birthday. I feel robbed of the experience and the fact this cost us so much most to have such a poor experience with staff and not being together is honestly still so upsetting.The guy who checked us in initially was great but after that the staff was poor dismissive and down right rude.
My boyfriend and I booked this about 2 days in advance and go figure, we got the time wrong! We had booked for 11am instead of 12pm so we rushed to the venue and Parker was super helpful and accommodating. Our pilot Skylar was amazing and told us everything that we were seeing. He also takes great photos! Our flight was doors off which was perfect for the beautifully clear day! It was chilly so I would recommend bringing something warm. Mickey was also super friendly and helpful throughout the whole process. An incredible experience for my boyfriend and I and would definitely recommend FlyNYON if you fancy a helicopter flight.
I had a welcoming, smooth process of getting ready for the flight (safety video, safety equipment, cameras) The flight itself was smooth and well planned out to see all the big view points of the city. Looking forward to bringing my family with me next time
This is by far the worst, most dishonest company I’ve ever dealt with. From start to finish, it was a scam. They lure you in with a glossy map showing two full shaded areas of coverage, making you believe you’ll actually fly over them. In reality, the flight only circles around those areas — never over them. The map should be a single thin line, not shaded zones, because that’s all you get: a quick loop on the outskirts. It’s designed to mislead.We deliberately booked the 9:00am slot for the best light and to plan the rest of our day, we’ve been told it would leave at 10 just the night before. Even then, we didn’t leave until 10:30. Zero respect for people’s time, zero accountability.Their headquarters is plastered with giant photos taken over Midtown Manhattan, and their social media is the same — endless shots from directly above the skyline and over the Statue of Liberty. None of that is real for paying customers. They don’t fly over Midtown. They don’t fly over the Statue. They stay far away and yet shamelessly advertise images that make it look otherwise. It’s false advertising, plain and simple.When we asked for a refund or even just the chance to re-do the flight properly, they refused outright. Instead of choosing dignity, they chose greed. They would rather pocket the money than deliver on what they sell. It’s insulting.This company is a disgrace to the industry. Overpriced, deceptive, and arrogant. They build their entire business on lies and manipulative marketing, and when confronted they double down instead of making it right. Avoid them at all costs. If you value your time, money, or basic honesty, stay far away.
