I used to love Freightos

I used to hold Freightos in high regard, but their recent performance has been nothing short of a disaster. Their handling of a shipment that should have cost $1,800, including customs fees, ended up costing me a staggering $5,700, and to add insult to injury, all my freight was destroyed.The issue with US Customs could have been easily resolved with a simple POA, which I, as the importer of record, was unable to provide. US Customs clarified that it was the responsibility of the customs broker, Clearit, to provide the POA. Despite my efforts to communicate this to both Freightos and Clearit, they failed to take any responsibility for the situation.Leigh Carter, a representative from Clearit, a company owned by Freightos, showed a complete lack of empathy and accountability by simply stating, "US Customs destroyed your cargo. I'm sorry you're frustrated." This response is unacceptable, especially when I'm out over $15,000 due to their negligence.It is disheartening to see Freightos deflecting all responsibility to Clearit, who they have chosen as their default and only customs broker. Clearit falsely advertises a 5-star rating on Trustpilot, when in reality, they have a mere 3.8-star rating.While Freightos has a user-friendly website and makes the process simple and easy to track, their customer service representatives are not empowered to take any meaningful action when issues arise. This lack of support and accountability is a clear indication of Freightos's failure to rise to the challenges of their industry.Freightos and Clearit's management are pathetic, and their actions have left me with significant financial losses and emotional distress. They have exploited the law to their advantage, knowing that the losses are too high for small claims court and that hiring a lawyer would be prohibitively expensive.It's a shame that Freightos and Clearit have chosen to prioritize their own interests over the well-being of their customers. Their actions have left me feeling abandoned, fined, and high and dry, with no hope for a resolution. I sincerely hope that Freightos and Clearit take responsibility for their actions and work towards improving their services in the future. Despite the challenges, I remain open to a late resolution if Freightos and Clearit are willing to take responsibility for their actions and provide a fair resolution to the situation.Rebuttal to Freightos' Inadequate Response of May 5, 2024:I am disappointed by Freightos' response to my concerns regarding the recent shipment handled by their partner, Clearit. The response lacks any substance and fails to address the specific issues I raised about Clearit's negligence and dishonesty.It is disheartening to see that Freightos' support team has not provided a satisfactory explanation or taken responsibility for the mishandling of my shipment. Instead, they have chosen to deflect the issue and offer empty platitudes about smoother shipping in the future.I expect a higher level of accountability and transparency from Freightos, especially when dealing with such serious matters as trademark violations and the potential destruction of goods. It is essential that Freightos takes immediate action to address the negligence and dishonesty of their partner, Clearit, and ensure that such incidents do not occur in the future.I hope that Freightos will take this opportunity to reevaluate their partnership with Clearit and implement measures to improve the quality of service provided to their clients.I am open to an equitable resolution, but I have not been able to get a substantive response from Freightos. It's obvious to me that they have not reviewed the email threads either. Their cookie-cutter responses are not only insulting but also demonstrate a lack of concern for the gravity of the situation. I mean business and expect a thorough review of the email threads and a proper, well-considered response addressing the negligence and dishonesty of their partner, Clearit. Let this serve as a wake-up call for Freightos to reevaluate their commitment to their clients and take immediate action to rectify the situation.

The whole process from quote to payment was very easy and fast. I received the exact service that I expected. It might be a little bit more expensive than their competitors but the quality of service is worth the extra money.

Freightos is so easy to use and it's…

Freightos is so easy to use and it's wonderful having all shipments in one place. It's great that I can choose the shipper as to which ones cheaper too. You can also use credit card to pay as well which not all shippers can do!

Consistently ship slower than promised…

Consistently ship slower than promised on multiple shipments - they don't deliver the shipping route or speed you pay for.It came to a crunch on the SEABAY shipment #S231129003290. Shipment uploaded 11/28/23 with goods ready for pickup and delivery estimated 30-40 days - latest delivery 1/8/23. Now the promise is 1/16/24 and given their track record they will be 7-14 days late on that!We are a small business and are leaving or a tradeshow on 1/16/24 - we will have 60+ orders and a shipment to receive at the same time AGAIN!

Highly Recommend (from a user of over 4 years)

I have used Freightos 20 different times this year alone moving everything from small Express packages, to full container loads. The total spend in 2023 was over $90k. In total, in the 4 years I have used them, I have moved 94 shipments totalling $737k.I say all that to say that I am very familiar with the platform, and I also see how some people have had challenges. Freightos is a not a "genie in a bottle". International Freight is complicated and can get wildly expensive (delays etc.) if you do not go into the process with a basic working knowledge of what is required from you (the Consignee) then the chances of something going sideways is high. Have I had issues on Freightos in the past? Yes, I have. I also felt like I had assistance from the platform in helping rectify that.This is a SOLID platform that works. Without it, my business would be much more complicated and time consuming.

Good idea, bug fixes take way too long

The idea of this platform is great but it's so frustrating to use. Every time I open the site on Chrome (the default browser) and click on one of our shipments, it tries to load for a few seconds and then just redirects to the home page. EVERY TIME I have to open it in incognito mode, login, do the 2FA, grab my phone to authenticate the login, and then finally I can use the platform. It takes way too long and has been a bug for almost a year, can't believe they still haven't addressed it.

Untrustworthy company

Untrustworthy company. I purchased about $2,500 in custom gift boxes from China and had to pay about as much to get these air freighted to the US. Two boxes were missing and I brought it to their attention immediately with no response. The only reason they responded eventually is after I left a bad review, which I agreed to delete for them if they made it right. After going back and forth with slow communication, they told me it's too late to file a claim and eventually agreed to pay me just the price of the missing merchandise. I was not pleased with this solution, as it only covered half of my losses, not including customs duty fees. This happened in November, 2023 and still no refund as of September 26, 2024. They cost me over $600 and I'm done dealing with this. Will never use them again and I highly recommend using another freight company.
