Absolute gem!

My partner and I and our little dog had the most wonderful 4 nights in The Barn last week, it surpassed our expectations. The hosts are so friendly and welcoming and had thought of everything. We were blessed with unseasonably warm weather with cloudless blue skies which meant we took full advantage of the secure garden with decking area. The views are just breathtaking, you can even see the sea. It was very relaxing just watching the sheep graze and hearing the birds sing. We had never been to this area before but thanks to their very detailed virtual guidebook we were able to find local walks and dog friendly pubs easily. I highly recommend going to Dolgoch falls (5 min drive away) and Lake Mwyngil (12 mins) where you can do a fairly strenuous hike or just stroll around the lake. We had a well-earned late lunch outside the Tyn-y-Cornel Hotel which was delicious. We also climbed 400 metres up Cadair Idris to see the lake, not brave enough to do the summit! The beach is only a 5 min drive away too so you really have the best of all worlds here. Beautiful farm, lovely hosts, very dog friendly. I was very sad to leave. We will definitely be returning

Another beautiful stay

Another beautiful stay. Perfect for the dogs and myself. I’m love with this very special place. Caban is clean, comfortable, welcoming and truly feels like home. Local beaches have so much space. This is the only holiday home I have ever booked more than once and planning a third visit already.

10/10 does not give this special place justice

Finding dog friendly accomodation is one thing, but finding one where you've really hit the jackpot is next level. Guefron Farm is a truly beautiful place to stay. The thought and effort behind making this gorgeous piece of land not only a place for humans to enjoy but for their doggos to live their best lives too is so clear to see. We treated ourselves to a spacious stay in The Old Farmhouse as a group of 4 adults with 5 dogs (4 was the maximum of dogs allowed however Hannah was more than happy to accommodate a fifth dog - it was refreshing to see that their limit on dog numbers was purely down to how comfortable that number of dogs would be in each cottage). We were greeted on our arrival to 5 individually packaged gift bags for each dog filled with treats and biscuits, and a towel for each dog too. For us humans we were treated to a tray of local teas, coffee and biscuits and milk in the fridge for a brew. The cottage was immaculately clean, beautifully and tastefully decorated and very well equipped for everything we needed for the week. Including fire wood for the log burner. The original features of the cottage were still noticeable which was a lovely touch, and lots of lovely modern touches to keep things fresh and bright. The views of the valley are super special and can be seen from every cottage on the farm. The fenced off dog play field is a cracking idea with a picnic bench to sit and watch the dogs play. It's a great size and our 5 dogs had so much space to sniff and have a good run. The fenced garden kept our time away incredibly stress free too. Nothing compares to enjoying a brew in those lovely farmhouse mugs and enjoying the view of the valley while the doggos have a potter around the garden. We brought 2 large border collies, 2 spaniels (one of which is a pup) and an elderly Yorkshire Terrier and had no concerns of their safety in our garden area. Each cottage is clearly signposted when you arrive on the farm. The alpacas and their fluffy little faces are the perfect things to greet you on the drive up the hill. Not to mention the little bleats from the new lambs on the farm too. Between this and the daffodil lined tracks leading up the farm I honestly felt like we were in a Disney film! There are poop bag dispensers and bins knocking around the farm if you're ever caught off guard too.The biggest thing to mention about this stay specifically is the guest guide book you are sent when you book. It's basically your one stop shop of everything you need for your stay; details of what's in the property, how stuff works, where to find things, info on the local area, dog friendly walks, places to visit, cafes etc. Even tips of what to bring before you leave. It's basically Google but with a more personal touch and everything has been thought of for you. If, however, it's not in the guidebook, I was impressed with how available Hannah and Dean and the team were via WhatsApp/Messenger for any of our questions. Always very professional, friendly and helpful. In terms of the local area, again, the guest guide book is your best friend. The Peniarth Arms is a 10 minute walk over the hill (a really pretty short walk) is dog friendly and has fantastic food. Tywyn is the closest town and a mere 5 minute drive down the road, lovely beach, shops, cafe and a cracking book shop. Barmouth is a short drive away too and a lovely day out. The beach in Tywyn we found particularly helpful for our puppy who is still learning recall as there are fenced off sections - when the tide is in its like you have your own mini dog beach! Pebbles Tea Room opposite the beach is dog friendly, with a really sweet outdoor area and brilliant food. In Tywyn itself there is a real sense of community. It's lovely to see places in the town recommended in the guest guidebook. Supporting local is what makes holidays like this so lovely.I could go on.. but giving this place a simple 10/10 doesn't do it justice.Hannah and Dean have clearly thought of everything for their guests and their doggos time away. Rarely do you find a place that ticks every box but we think we've found it with Geufron Farm. Thank you for a truly wholesome and beautiful stay.

Beautiful location

Beautiful location, cosy Cowshed, everything you need including EV charger, amazing views, peaceful yet close to beaches and local shops. Good wifi, comfy beds, comfy sofas, everything you need in the kitchen, dogs loved it. Weather was great and sitting outside with a beer just watching the sheep and the odd RAF Hercules fly past was great. Nice local pub too.

An incredible find!

In my opinion .. Geufron Farm is a very special place. I had woken up on the morning and suddenly decided I wanted to visit Wales, I had visited the area as a child with family and wanted to return with my own children so they could experience the joy I felt as a child. The place we used to stay is long gone so I was searching through various websites to find a last minute place when I happened to stumble upon Geufron Farm. I couldn't believe my luck when I spotted The Cowshed was available at such short notice because it looked absolutely delightful. And oh man, I was not disappointed. It's a wonderful little accommodation, tastefully decorated, INCREDIBLE views and it honestly felt like there was nothing that the owners had not thought about. We didnt use the kitchen much as it was so last minute and I hadnt really had time to prepare but if I had been cooking, everything that I needed would have been there. And the little touches added were really lovely. The location is perfect for visiting Dolgoch, Abergonolwyn, Aberdovey and Towyn.. almost literally smack bang in the middle. They have alpacas which is just delightful. I think you can do experiences which we didnt get chance to do this time but we did walk down to see them, they look very well loved. We didnt see many people around (lovely!) but we did see some staff with the alpacas one morning and the lady gave me such a genuine smile and wave and I've not stopped thinking about that, it makes such a difference. This place gets a 10/10 from me! We loved the Cowshed and will 100% return in the near future.

We had a wonderful stay at Geufron…

We had a wonderful stay at Geufron Farm! We stayed in the Barn and it was perfect for myself, my partner and our three dogs! Very spacious down stairs, cosy rooms upstairs with everything you could need for a comfortable stay! The garden was great, fencing perfect to keep the dogs enclosed and beautiful views all around. The location is fantastic, lots of walks very close by and just a short walk to a lovely long sandy beach! The farm itself is nice a quiet and out of the way up a hill with the nice addition of some alpacas to say Hello to on the way to your cottage! A perfect place to stay to explore Wales!

Cosy stay in a stunning area

Stayed with my husband and dog in The Granary - small but immaculate. Perfect for us. Really well equipped and so cosy after a day out and about. The owners had thought of everything. Surrounding area was stunning. Great local walk book was in the cottage and other great ideas were included on the website. A long weekend wasn’t enough and we can’t wait to return. Thank you Dean and Hannah. You’re doing a great job.
