HAVING RED ALL THE REVIEWS ABOUT THE AA , I THINK IT WILL BE BEST TO BY PASS THE SYSTEM AND FOLLOW MY FIRST INSTINKS AND GO STRAIGHT TO TRADING STD, MY ARGUMENT IS WITH GARAGE THAT SUPPLIED THE CAR, NO PAPER WORK WAS SUPPLIED OR PROVE OF ANY WORK DONE , ALSO WARRANTY DID NOT COVER 4X4 EVEN THO, THE DEALER WAS SELLING THIS TYPE OF CAR WITH DUE RESPECT TO AA THERE REPLY TO MOST OF COMPLAINS IS MUST DO BETTER ( HOW LONG IS A PIECE OF STRING)

Like many other people on the various…

Like many other people on the various websites and forums, I have had a terrible experience with this company.You are not dealing with the AA, your dealing with a subcontractor who appears to be set-up up to refuse the claim from the outset.The car garage who sold the car and warranty, do not have any role in helping with a claim, all they do is sell it to you, this part of the problem.In my case I felt something could be wrong with the car, so called AA and they told me to take it to Halfords their nearest approved garage, 11 miles away. Once at the garage I was given an estimate of around £500, but AA then told me I had invalidated the warranty by driving car - despite them telling me to do this when I reported it to them initially.If you have had a problem with this company please post a review, this will help others to make the right decision in the future.

Do not buy the AA warranty!!!!!

Do not buy the AA warranty!!!!!! - Its a conI purchased my Audi A4 in 2015 from Car Giant and from the get go the problems started to roll in. Alternator, Brake disks, Rear shocks etc. Thankfully Car giant stood over some of the problems and I was reasonably satisfied with their response. However, recently my oil pump went and i remembered that I purchased the AA Warranty plan when I purchased the car. It cost the best part of £1000.I got in contact with the AA to make my ONLY claim and they simply said that it was wear and tear and they would not be covering any of the £1300 cost to fix the car. With this response I asked myself the question "What isn't wear and tear then??"The reason that I took the warranty was because the Cargiant employee made a very convincing case in favour of buying it due to the fact that my car had only 1 year of manufacturing warranty left. He also said that the warranty would cover any major part over the 3 year period that i had it. That was a complete lie and I feel mislead. Please remember guys that there is a commission made by these employees when they make an AA warranty sale. Your best interest is not at the forefront of their minds. Also, I have never had a car that has caused me so much major trouble. I'm not saying that all cars from CG are of poor quality but my car definitely was. ( it was only 2 years old when i bought it )So once again, Do NOT buy the AA warranty!!!!!

Excellent five star response

Excellent five star response. I was worried that the work on the car would not come under warranty having spoken to other pessimist,I.e a warranty is not worth the paper its written on! I have to say the AA were great. After the diagnosis report, the aa paid for the diagnostic test, labour, and parts. They also recommended a very good garage who I will now use in future. For me the AA warranty was 5 star service. Big thanks.

Excellent service! First garage that was recommended did not had any availability for booking until 5 weeks later. One of the claims team have checked the area and found another specialist.Repair authorization given and really helpful!

The warranty is a scam and a load of…

The warranty is a scam and a load of rubbish. I have just spent a week and half hearing lies from the customer service team (with the exception of one man) they are pompous and arrogant. If the warranty doesn't cover wear and tear then don't make it available to older vehicles. You are taking money under false pretences. My mechanic told the customer service team that it was not wear and tear but some upstart of a woman proceeded to tell me it was and evidently she is a mechanic and knows better. My mechanic advised on several occasion it was not wear and tear but hey ho they know better. I like many others on here will make sure no one I know takes out this scam of a warranty. As for buying from a car yard that sells it with confidence. they don't care if the car is safe or not.. I am about to be £1500 out of pocket for two major defects that should not have passed an MOT and the car has travelled less that 4000 miles since purchase. I want my money I paid for the insurance back... Its the least you can do !!!!!!!!! And like others I will be reporting this but I am more likely to touch base with Rogue Traders and let them have a dig around for more unhappy customers... Less than impressed. Thank goodness I only took 1 year.. but I want my £250.00 back.

The staff were helpful when you got…

The staff were helpful when you got hold of them but it does take some waiting and it still took over a month to resolve the complex problem and I still had to pay £400 of the claim!
