Great service. We used Go Green two evening in succession, the 30th and 31st December. And despite the new year probably being the busiest night of the year the cab arrived exactly when promised, both the cars were spotless and the drivers polite & professional. Excellent service and highly recommended. Many thanks Go Green.
New Years Eve 2022. Newbury branch. from the booking through to final drop off, the service from Go Green taxis was superb. Such a professional and courteous service. Pick up and drop off on time, vehicles clean, drivers professional and polite. The customer service from the bookings team was exceptional and clear communication throughout. Horrendous service. Booked a taxi to the airport initially. Pick up on time but car was filthy dirty. When I arrived at Heathrow after a 17 hour flight, I booked another taxi to get home but accidentally booked it the wrong way around. Called up straight away and they said they had someone in Wembley who was only 20-25mins away. I agreed to wait. Got a call 15 mins later saying the traffic is bad and it will likely be another 45 mins. I asked if I could cancel as I was too tired to wait that long after such a long flight and a 24 hour delay. They said if I was to cancel they will charge £97!!!! I asked them to be reasonable and apologised for the error in my initial booking explaining I was tired and made a mistake. They had no intention to charge any less. I asked how they calculated that charge and was told the driver was on his way and had already driven all that way to get to me. 1) the driver was in Wembley 14 miles away and 2) they hadn’t even made it to me yet! They then agreed to charge £50 instead and I said fine as I just wanted to get home And told them i won’t be using them again and their response was that’s fine that’s your choice. No customer service at all and no understanding or empathy that I made a genuine mistake and they haven’t lost anything other than a 15 mins drive. Anyways, checked the app to see they had charged me £97 after all. Absolutely shocking, disgusting and pointless company. Reading the other reviews i can’t believe I even used them at all.
Though accepting booking a taxi for a Saturday evening (7pm) is a busy time. Using the opportunity to exploit customers by charging well over double the normal rate charged by others is unethical. To clarify. They wanted to charge £53 for a taxi quoted and ultimately charged £22 by others. We tried to cancel the booking, but there was no answer via phone or no option online to cancel.
Couldn’t fault the service. I booked a few days before on the app and had immediate confirmation. All very easy, no waiting for quotes. Taxi arrived just before booked time for both outward and return journey and sent messages to alert us. We were catching a train so timings were important. Emails with confirmation of payment were sent and I noticed we were charged 50p for being 3 minutes late on our return trip, as our train was late, but I don’t have a problem with that. We were sent links to pre pay online, although we chose to pay cash. We made a last minute amendment to our return journey, which they accommodated. Great service thank you.
Only leaving one star as I can’t leave zero! Utterly appalling service this evening - cab booked and confirmed only to receive a call 20 mins before it was due to say they shouldn’t have accepted the booking and didn’t have anything available until after midnight! Our party being left at a restaurant far out of the way, that was closing and with no option or alternative offer to help us get home! Local staff ended up having to drive us home - very embarrassing as I was with customers.
Horrified that this firm debited an extra 50p waiting time to the fixed fee without prior agreement. The taxi had been booked by me for a 10am pick-up of my elderly parents from their house. The driver turned up at 10.02 (I received a text and a call) and though he hadn't even rung the door bell by then, charged my parents who have dementia and mobility problems 50p for leaving at 10.06 rather than 10.02. I rang the main number to complain and the guy wasn't even able to explain the charge properly saying waiting was charged at 50p a minute from the time the car arrives. Buried deep in the terms and conditions on the website it says waiting is charged at 40p plus VAT after 3 minutes grace! So there's no way they are telling people about this hidden and completely unreasonable charge at the time of booking. Considering reporting these illegal charging practices to Trading Standards.
