Review Time
Goodstack seems to be the main guardian of whether your non profit exists or not from the point of view of tech companies and is therefore fairly vital to get verified by. For our provincial claim, Goodstack was happy to verify us but the process was incredibly unclear. It would be immensely helpful if Goodstack could be more granular by what Unverified meant or that there are timelines to getting documents to them which, for a small volunteer organisation, means some things take much more time than would be for a more professional non profit. Ultimately got what we wanted and I'm incredible grateful that Goodstack understood our local regulations.
Update to the review below: I've succeeded in putting the software on multiple computers, so all's well that ends well. The discount is pretty serious, and worth any struggles I went through. I'm still not sure if the confusion was my fault or because Goodstack's process is confusing, so please keep that in mind as you consider my review... this could totally be a full-on user issue. Here's my original review, now upgraded from 3 to a well-deserved 4 stars. Thanks for your help, Goodstack:Once we were approved, getting our discounted software was relatively simple and straight-forward. However in trying to purchase more licenses, I was informed we didn't qualify because we already own the software, despite being allowed to purchase up to 50 licenses, according to Goodstack's site. Clearly I did something wrong at some point, and I can't seem to figure out how to contact a real person to rectify the situation. Once we're able to purchase the extra licenses I will probably increase my rating to 4 stars, but this blip will stop me from giving that last, 5th star.
We applied to google non profits via GS and were rejected a few times despite having proper paperwork, links, info etc. Tried applying to goodstack itself and rejected. in both cases fairly clear no person had seen application as rejection made no sense. Tried a 2nd time with goodstack asking for help with our google application, got a responsive person who was helpful (w/o that would give zero stars). We wrote about our google application challenge but they were addressing our goodstack application, but this worked out as if you get the later approved then finally able to get google non-profits - a process that took almost 7 weeks.
