Review Time
Ordered a week ago for delivery today (10th). Was told I would receive a time slot for my delivery. No communication this morning. Tried to call customer services, phone line cuts out after 15mins. I looked through the reviews online here and it is happening A LOT! Called palletforce (delivery company) and was told they only received the order yesterday and the gravel is still at its depot waiting to be picked up. Delivery is now scheduled for Monday (I’m not holding my breath).
Ordered ton bag of panda stone for delivery today (10 Apr) for which I had taken a day off work and delayed works that need completing after the stone is laid. Upon purchase you receive a receipt with an email that states you will be notified when goods have been loaded with a estimated delivery slot. I have received no communication since receiving this original receipt.You cannot contact them as phones just ringout then disconnect after 15 mins. Online chatbot is useless and emails go unanswered. Looking at the more recent reviews it shows service has massively dropped off. I would recommend using a local builders merchant even when more expensive. Avoid these clowns.
We placed an order for some topsoil (1000kg), which was initially due to be delivered on the 8th of April 2026. After waiting in for this all day, I called the customer service number. The issue, the phone call will automatically end after 14 minutes unless they pick up. Four attempts later, I finally get through. I'm told the truck broke down, so the order would come tomorrow instead (9th). The 9th comes, no delivery. I call again and am again told the truck broke down, speaking to the same person. By this point, I'm told it'd arrived the day after (10th). The guy (who's name begins with D), called me in the morning to say it'd be delivered in the AM slot. It's now 13:48, and still no delivery. I've tried calling three times, but the phone puts down after 14 minutes. I think this company only has one person working their phones as I keep getting through to the same person. The order eventually arrived at 14:07.Three days of being messed around. Breakdowns are fine and a perfect reason for a delay, but better communication and more customer service reps would help
Can't recommend this company enough, had a delivery of cotswold chippings today, great price, they arrived the day I had picked, everything perfect! And the delivery guy from the pallet company couldn't have been nicer! Would definitely buy from them again :)
The delivery driver was very friendly. Got the bulk bag as close to my house as possible. Gravelmaster made the whole process smooth. After being let down by a major retailer, i only had to wait an extra day and got more stones than I would of got from elsewhere. Fantastic service from start to finish
I can only assume that the 5 star reviews on here are by employees of Gravelmaster!! With zero customer service, zero communication and one of the poorest delivery processes I've ever witnessed, I honestly cannot see how there can be any positive outcomes!PLEASE read all the 1 star reviews before you place any orders as the following appears to be the common experience (mine included): - Order, pick a delivery date and then get down on your knees and pray - your order might turn up at any time on any date, but rest assured it definitely won't be the date you've actually picked and taken time off work for - You won't receive any communication, no updates at all - just complete silence as the days pass by and you gaze out of your window wondering if today might be the day your order arrives - If you try to contact Gravelmaster to query why your delivery is 5 days late, they will not answer the phone or reply to your emails- If you win the jackpot and your order is actually delivered, it will be by a driver who appears highly annoyed at having to deliver such a bulky item and seems intent on leaving it as far away from your house as possibleI am in the middle of a large garden project and all the other orders of items with various other companies were delivered bang on time with impressive communication and helpful customer service. There are some fantastic companies out there but sadly this is not one of them.Avoid like the plague.
Delivery didn’t turn up on the chosen date, there was no communication from Gravelmaster as to why, nobody answered the phone and there has been no reply to email sent. So… Urm… can’t give any more than 1 star. Even if it turns up next week, it’s still 1 star. What more can you say, unreliable, no communication, and frankly a waste of time and money. Go elsewhere.
Easy to navigate website with plenty of choice. Great value. Delivery was a day late but understandable following a bank holiday weekend. Delivery driver was excellent, dropping the pallet exactly where I wanted it (which wasn't easy). I ordered the 14-20mm Scottish pebbles and they look lovely, really pleased with them. I will be a returning customer when I get around to tackling the front garden. Highly recommend
